I stay up north as a Christian from Enugu, and it's a common knowledge that northerners are more considerate to others. Nevertheless, religion seems to be their major short coming, but beside that, they are a simple, down to earth people. I consider myself a Northerner having being given birth here.

Some good igbos can really be good if you are fortunate to find one, but not the idle ones from the stable of their caves who invade this forum as termites to create instability. Wonder where these ones come from. These are the greatest hindrance to peace and we must collectively stand to oppose. Nigeria will be great again.

@poster, your story is quite interesting n encouraging. it's the kind of story we need to build a united Naija. But in the real sense, that act of generosity wasn't for you but towards the OKada owner with a broken chain. He simply showed camaraderie to fellow OKada operator, fellow Muslim and a fellow tribes man. grin

@OP, you can't be more right. In truth, that's the least the average Hausa man could do. I was born in Kaduna, raised in Yobe, did my uni in Zaria... so it's safe to say that I have seen the goodness of the Hausa man first hand. The average Hausa man will not shortchange you even 50 kobo, is generous, amiable and peace loving. It comes to me as a bit of surprise seeing all the insults being intended at them. The generalisation is fallacy, I tell you.

When terrorists kill non-muslims, people put the blame on Islam but when the same terrorists kill muslims, the so called christians rejoice. Is that what it means to be a good christian?

The problem with Islam is that the Wahhabis are against the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and they have invented their own "islam" and they are getting alot of people to believe their manipulated translation of the religion against the true Islam which stands for peace.

But non-muslims, most especially christians would rather believe the Wahhabis since their teachings demonizes Islam. Its such a pity to be sitted down here and watch "good christians" laugh at us as our religion is being attacked.

where are the Muslims who counter their actions?

silence is consent or isn't that what Islam preaches?

when these peeps make their declarations what is the most predominant statement they make?

also just at the point of impact?

last I checked Allahu Akbar was an Islamic phrase

This sounds like northerners are not corrupt narrative of the 80s, yet they manage to leave their people in penury, terrorised with death daily.Despite all the billions collected from the government since 1975. Yah, Op keep this story to yourselves.

right now i am crying, i have never stoped preaching unity, in this struggles of the common man, unision matters alot, we are being forced to fight each other, it takes nothing for us to understand that we are one, the youths must say no to tribal war and brutal racist, our musicians are yet to drup a unity song. Now i think i will work on that, one love
Oche, anole? great to hear a fellow brother. Idomas I know, are detribalize and i'm not surprise you are one of them. With such ethnic group couple with the Edos I love so much and of course the Yorubas, and some other tribes from the middle belt, no force hatch from hell can undermine the unity of this great country.

We all know the enemy of the state and their venomous tribal remarks of recent bent to disorganised the stability of our darling country, but God pass them.

We will continue to stand in unity regardless of some hired miscreants unleashed to create chaos. Our resolve should be to continue this gospel of unity until it hypnotise every youth. I go sponsor that hit when you release am.

I served in the north, kebbi state to be precise. In fact I worked as an electoral official during the last elections and I can confidently tell u that the Hausa folks are one of the most friendly people in Nigeria. Very accommodating set of people provided u don't offend their religion. In fact during the election while people down here in the south were busy wrecking havoc and damaging each other's property all in the name of election, the northerners stayed calm and provided us with mats, lamps and other things that aided us in the electoral process.
However, I think the major problem of northerners is lack of education of the major populace which makes ignorance a common form of knowledge and that's why it's easy for them to be manipulated religiously and politically

Very true.... Hausas to me are the nicest tribe in Nigeria.

I remember a story one of my Big bros told me when he went over there for his service. He and his friend went to their market, he wanted to buy potatoes of N200 worth, when they got there to buy it was like half a bag for that amount and they felt it was too much and tried to buy just N50 worth. The Hausa man selling it said it isn't possible, but instead he gave them for free. They are very kind....

The only thing I think is wrong with Majority of Hausas is "Ignorance", that's where the issue of education sets in, because they can easily be brainwashed into believing crap.

Western Education should go along with their Islamic Education
some of them are just too good

Sometime today I took a bike from Mararaba junction heading to Aso.
We've covered about 40% of the journey when I heard the "click click" sound of a broken chain. The okada guy stopped, inspected the bike and advised me to take another bike as his can't make the rest of the trip.

After a while, one okada guy came along,I waved him down and asked him to take me to my destination.
I informed him that I bargained 100 naira with the first dude so they should negotiate the price.
The first dude asked him to take 60naira and give him 40naira since he(new okada guy) will cover most of the distance.

The new okada guy just looked at the broken chain and said something in hausa which neither of us (both of us were Christians and southerners) understood.

But from his gesticulation I deduced he was asking me to give the whole sum to the first okada rider.
I demonstrated to him to be sure of what he meant and he nodded in affirmation. I was puzzled at this act of kindness and generosity especially because it was geared towards a different religion and tribe.
Thereafter, the Hausa, muslim okada rider took me to my destination without charge.

I put this little story up here to make you tribal and religious bigots understand something; Nigeria is not one, that may be true. But the division is not across ethnic or religious lines.
The boundary is between the thieving elites
and the suffering commoners.
That's why an Akpabio will be supporting a Saraki.

So before you throw jabs at that man because of his religion and tribe, understand that he is also a victim of the situation.

#GodBlessNigeria.

Lalasticlala ...help me show this to them, thanks.

This isn't a big deal- I feel say boko boiz catch unna

Somebody is helping his brother; ure here ffamzing

Abi them no collect you money.
