APC can only thrive in a country like Nigeria where majority of the people lack common sense.

Smh. And the gullible ones were busy shouting sai baba on that thread last night. I read several comments on that thread last night, and was upset with the level of foolishness Nigerians exhibit. A country that is struggling to earn revenues from her major source of income, suddenly reduces pump price of petroleum and by so doing, increases its amount being spent on subsidy;how's that possible? Where will the money come from? Most Nigerians don't even think with their brains when they read news items. They just swallow it hook, line and sinker. Tomorrow, these set of people will tell you that they are educated but they find it hard to think properly. I was just too upset to comment on that thread cos I knew a thread like this will surface today.
Very well said.

When I first saw it, I deliberately refused to comment on it because I knew it was the usual APC lies.

Some weeks ago, they said same thing about pump price of kerosene and it turned out to be a lie as well.

I think APC has forgotten that elections are over, it's high time they dropped propaganda. They can never succeed in governing Nigeria with propaganda.

They should better face reality.

How will it happen, when we are still paying for subsidies. Even the GMD has pleaded with the President, to scrap fuel subsidies, which will leave pricing solely to the strength of the markets. There is no other way to cause the prices to drop. So please enlighten me on how the APC will crash the oil price if the price is still fixed solely by the government and not the markets.
before any significant reduction, subsidy must have been eliminated by performance not transfer to the citizens then, a sustained performance will result Into price reduction of note! Your head is there jor!

Another enemy of Nigeria progress spotted.

The enemies of progress are those people who want the country to further subsidise their petrol usage, even though they know full well that it's going to bankrupt the country. But they don't care, as long as the get to enjoy cheaper fuel for a few months.

Who really is the enemy of progress?

If they scrap subsidy people will call for their heAd so they are just being careful. But even they have realized that it is inevitable.

I am still waiting for their economic plan. Seeing as they can only boast of a Lagos of a debt of 1billion dollar and other few states I can categorically state that these guys have absolutely nothing to offer Nigerians. I repeat absolutely nothing.

Nope, the reason behind the government's feet dragging, in the subsidy brouhaha is as a result of greedy financial interests. The petroleum subsidy and oil marketing racket is dominated by the Yorubas and Hausas. That's why the government is refusing to discuss the issue, while attempting to pile up dirt on the past administration, so as to discredit every policy direction taken by that government, including the subsidy debate. Even the President is a beneficiary of the oil marketing racket, along with the party's major shareholder, Tinubu. The only person, still trumpeting the need to scrap the oil subsidy, is the GMD, NNPC, Kachukwu. That was why he released the financial reports of the NNPC, which clearly exposed the inefficiencies of the state's handling of the refineries and the negative impact of the oil subsidy arrangement. Since yesterday, the APC e-media has begun rubbishing Mr Kachukwu, by labelling him as a crony of the PDP. The intention of the government, is simply to slow down the public's expectation of the oil subsidy quagmire, and in the long run, squash the debate.

GenBuhari i though you said subsidy was a scam? i knew it couldnt be cos Nigeria even sells below international price(in $$$) its just cos of the weak naira we think its expensive at 87naira.
Re: NNPC Denies Reports On Fuel Pump Price Reduction by Nobody: 8:50am On Oct 13, 2015
Subsidy is a scam.

More importantly PMB believes the concept of subsidy in Nigeria is nothing but fraud and corruption.

i wish i could watch it. if it were a scam why hasn't it been abolished yet by the administration? until we allow our pump price be determined by the larger market then the "subsidy scam" would always be justified.

How do you abolish something that doesn't exist?
