Hello Zandora,
I am new on this thread and i will like to appreciate you and the time and effort you put in in guiding pple here. Again, conratulations on the success of your application. While i have taken oyut time to read thru this 2 page, I will also like to ask the following
1. My hubby has stopped working for the past 2 years, does he need to provide any references from his previous work place?
2. I am also intrested in going to Quebec because of the French langauge (I am very fluent). this is also to help my hubby and baby daughter perfect their french Langauage skills, therefore, what and what do i need to apply to Quebec as i understand they do not do express entry.
3. Do we need to get jobs there before moving?
4. I have started applying for masters in schools in other provinces but not yet in Quebec, assuming i get admission in another province and i go to sch, what happenes when the Quebec nomination comes out or does going to sch in another province cancels the Quebec Immigration application?
5. How long do i have to live in Quebec before moving to another province?

I will really appreciate your candid responses. Please note, hubby and i are preparing to take the ielts and get our transcripts reviewed by WES,

God bless you

zandora:

Please see below.

1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574

Therefore for a single applicant you need $11,931 Canadian which is equivalent to N1,779,260 as at today's exchange rate. You need to show 6 months bank statement but the money doesn't need to be in your account for the full 6 months. However any large inflow into your account within the 6 months needs to be explained and backed up by the proper documentation, therefore it's advisable for the funds to be in your account for the full 6 months to avoid complications.

Zaraman and Zandora,

Good morning.

The CD4 count for a healthy HIV negative person is between 500 - 1500. Some experts quote 500 - 1600. My wife's CD4 count is 516.
The point is that her immune system is as strong as a "normal" person living without the disease.

CD4 cells (often called T-cells or T-helper cells) are a type of white blood cells that play a major role in protecting your body from infection. They send signals to activate your body’s immune response when they detect “intruders,” like viruses or bacteria.

That was before she started the medication; which will suppress the virus from replicating. And in essence increase her CD4 count and viral load which will make her immune system even stronger. The viral load could even be undetectable and make transmission to another person or to a baby (if she gets pregnant) extremely rare.

Patients will CD4 counts less than 350 are the ones that get sick and become susceptible to "opportunistic diseases" which further damages their immune system and make things complicated. And hence increase the cost of medication etc. This happens when the infection is not detected early.

Based on my research and her CD4 count, she would live a "normal" life and will not even show any symptoms of the disease if she continue to take her medication. The cost will be the same and she would not need any hospitalization etc. What she would need will be two or three labs a year to check her CD4 count and viral load to ensure that the drugs are working.

If you are in Canada and you are reading this please help me check how much it will cost to do a lab to check CD4 count and Viral Load. I will need some email, phone numbers or web address as proof to build a convincing case.

Thank you.

@cd4 count...thats some good news and am happy u have accepted your responsibility.
Funny thing is that there are so many discordant couples living normal lives and if she doesnt have active TB,well I dont know y u want to exclude her although both go hand in hand.
First be very passionate about her health it will help to persuade the CIC and your physician that u can actually help her through it all even if you can afford it and with your case. Thus, she has to be consistent with the drugs and immune boosters at least for months till viral load is undetectable. Some drs may lay her off the drugs if her CD4 count is very high and viral load is undetectable. It depends on her physician.

So if she can achieve that and maintain it....she wont be a burden to the CA government.
So many non Nigerians living here have HIV and access our free drugs. The drugs are free for HIV and TB here.I think it is in most countries too.

Thanks bunni12.

She does not have active TB or any other disease for that matter. All other results were perfect.

The plan as a last resort was to exclude her if she was going to cause the application to be refused. And to allow me and baby to be granted. She actually proposed this. And once we are granted, we could get her a visitors visa for like six months to accompany us to go and come back after that. And then apply for another six months .... Then apply for US visa so that anytime she has to leave Canada for after six months, she would just visit family in US for like a week and return to Canada for another months.

We were just looking at something in the best interest of the child.

There is no ill intention and she was the one who actually proposed that.

Hello sevule, apologies for 'bringing' you into this thread, but I saw a post of yours from January which I wanted to ask about but couldn't, as that thread is now closed...

I need to have an FBI report done, but I'm currently based in Nigeria. I know that I need to get my fingerprints taken here.and then sent by mail. I just wanted to find out where best to get the fingerprints taken. I am based in Lagos. Thanks.

If anyone else knows the answer to this, I'd be grateful if you could share smiley

Click on the link below and select USA. Be aware that sometimes FBI rejects fingerprints which leads to the request not being processed, therefore I'll advise you to enclose different sets of fingerprints to limit your chances of rejection.

Hello guys,
Please i like to ask a question on PoF, if you have your cic required fund in your account as at the start of your 6months statement as opening balance, and in subsequent months there were outflows and inflow(not significant), will cic query the inflows to be proof.

No, as long as the funds do not drop significantly below the required amount.

Canada got first new leader in 10 years, Justin Trudeau's Liberal party won the election. Fingers crossed on what changes the liberal party would make to the immigration program.

Dupyshoo above has already provided important links about Quebec, in addition :

1) If your husband is the principal applicant he'll need to provide reference letters only for the skilled jobs he wishes to claim points for. These must be jobs done in the past 10 yrs and can be previous or current work. This is for FSW though, don't know what the criteria is for Quebec.
2) See Dupyshoo's links above.
3) No you don't need to get a job there first before moving.
4) Going to school in another province and applying for PR via QSW will raise a red flag and you may be refused under the QSW. This is because to apply via QSW program you must reside in Quebec or show intention to reside in Quebec such as providing a job offer from a Quebec employer.
5) If you become a permanent resident via FSW or QSW, you can reside in any province you want. There's no time limit for residing in any particular province.

Quebec was supposed to open application on October 1st but it appears they are yet to start and so, it's a good one for you. One of those links should take you to where you can self-assess first to determine if you are eligible so, I say you start with that first and bear in mind that you will pay application fee of over 700dollars I think, and like 162 for each accompanying member.

Yeah, learnt the party is pro-immigration. His father was once prime minister and when President Nixon of the US visited at a point when he was still very small, he mentioned the boy might just a prime a minister and now, it has happened
