Hello NL, I am new here and would like to share my experience and also seek a pro advise. i have been to canada once on a 6 month single entry visa but was denied entry as a result of the fact that my proposed prog used to obtain the visa has passed. on leaving the immigration official cross the visa with a pen and informed it wasnt any problem that it is the normal procedure for any1 coming on a single entry visa. can some1 share any experience on this as i will like to reapply soon. hope this would not jeopardize my chance of obtaining a new visa.

My first visa, an entry visa to Norway was also crossed with a pen, but then it was a seven day visa because I had a resident permit which i got stamped at the local police station when i arrived. But they crossed the visa with a pen on arrival at the airport then let me through

In brief, please what's the procedure for going to Canada for honeymoon? A detail response will be highly appreciated. Kudos to y'll for a great job.

A bit of background: I stayed in the US for about 4 years on student visa, my mum and siblings are citizen and LPRs in the US. I visited Canada in 2013, reapplied and got another visit visa till 2015. I was to visit again in August 2015. Writing a letter will not make a difference. Chances of him getting a visa as a couple is always high regardless of non travel history. You guys can always reapply again and focus on the importance of traveling together as couples.

The snag to your present arrangement is that December is not certainly a good time to visit Niagara, it is unfriendly weather conditions which will be a concern for the VO. I think you may have to rethink on your arrangements.

You will not have any problem at the Toronto POE with regards to the information stated in your visa application. If required, you can always show them the local return flight booking to Ottawa. Please note that Air Canada may charge up to CAD28 per bag depending on the class of ticket you bought This may erode the planned savings depending on family size and number of bags. You may need to be confirm with AC first before you buy. Also let your brother make arrangements for warm clothing for you and any other family member that will be travelling with you.

Thanks, I have booked Turkish Airlines to Toronto, this will give me a chance to spend a day in Istanbul, Turkey as I have a 25 hour layover on the return flight. I just got a Turkish E-visa valid for 6 months

Yes if you are submitting via the paper route only photocopies of your documents will be accepted. This is inclusive of photocopies of pictures. If you insist on submitting originals there is a waiver form you will be given to fill.

You are welcome, in the past they used to take originals. This is a recent development.

great work and I salute you all , I submitted my TRV as a tourist on 17/ 08 and just got my app rejected for these reasons; travel history, purpose of visit , insufficient funds. I submitted my statement of Acct with bal of 1.2million and company acct of 12.18m , family details(marriage cert and children birth cert) ,flight and hotel reservations booking ,itinerary , drawing plan,west Africa travel history and other letters. pls I will to know the amount needed and when next one can apply.tnx

Why people use the so called agents beat my imagination . In most cases these agents have never been to canada or had a TRV application approved for themselves.

Meanwhile, to other matters If you eventually marry Ngozi Nwaogugu while CIC have funke Ojuelegba in their database as your wife,what will you do?

I will be relocating to Winnipeg soon but some people say to get accommodation u most additional fee for damage. I have look through some Canada rent site but is only some fee accommodation that have such fee attach to it. My question is it all accommodation that u pay for damage on first rent or only the ones stated on this site.

I have made reservation with AC from Montreal to Winnipeg. Will I pay for the bags 23kg 2 per person we are coming with from Nigeria. I am confuse so help with advice on what to do to cut cost.

If the flight is not part of the booking from Nigeria, it may be considered as an internal flight and you may be charged for your bags depending on the class of ticket you have. Your best bet is to verify your allowance on the AC website with your PNR or booking reference.
