twinskenny: I will be waiting. SEOSpecialist: Thank you, the updates will continue today. I plan to take a water tanker into this village to pond the foundation later today as my boys have completed the sand filling of this foundation. I might do a cost update of the filling and ramming stage, plus the cost of taking water into this location. My carpenters are around the site, waiting to board the foundation for the DPC and concrete cast of the floor. More pictures today. 1 Like |

There is no tanker that wanted to risk my village road, even at costs of N35k for one tank of water, so I went into the market and bought a new water pump, 1.5hp. We took it down the village with my kpako generating set and inserted two pipes into the well and started pumping water into this foundation. This filling sand must sink. Moral of the story; There must be a way, when there is the will! 16 Likes

To get the effect I crave for, this pumping of water will be done for a long time, we need to burn a lot of fuel, but I must get my desired results, no cavity, no rabbit holes  1 Like 2 Shares

Cost updates 1. Purchase of 1.5hp electric pump N9,000 2. Purchase of plumbing pipes, waste pipes and fittings N28,000 3. Transport to village N5,000 4. Plumber payment N5,000 5. Payment of carpenter for foundation boarding works N20,000 6. Labor for filling of the foundation N25,000 7. Feeding the boys (as they were idle today as we battled the water supply) N2,000 8. Security for my materials and P.R. N3,000 Total N 97,000.00 Cost cumulative to date N97,000 + N1,745,956.00 = N1,842,956.00 2 Likes |

The kind of love and camaraderie my team has been showing me since the start of this work left me speechless, every of my worker wants to be down in this site, some are pledging to work for free, but I insisted everyone must be paid. Many are asking to come from many parts of the country to be part of this, but we all cannot be here at the same time. Casting of oversite concrete 66 bags x N500 = N33,000 (the cement used here is part of our old stock, cost already captured earlier) 4. Mason, labor N8,000 5. Supervision N10,000 6. 20 bags of cement for block work (bought today) N1,500 x 20 = N30,000 Total N174,500 Cost cumulative total N174,500 + NN1,842,956.00 = N2,017,456.00 |
