The nearest star to us is 4 light years away.. Do you even know what 1 light year is?.. 1 light year is equal to 9trillion kilometers. . . now tell me if one can travel even 1 light year talk more of travelling up to 100 to thousands of light years to these planets.. sukkot: I think both opportunity Rover and Curiosity Rover are fine.. they are still reporting actively on Mars http://mars.nasa.gov/mer/newsroom/pressreleases/.. I think the Comet just reacted with the Atmosphere which lit up temporarily which might not be actual flames or explosion. |

adjoviomole: They are trying to understand our universe as it is, they are trying to figure out what really is.. Now if you are telling me your beliefs would have man drop his curiosity to know or taste for knowledge then i would say your beliefs are an enemy to human development. If your beliefs are vulnerable to the truths that these researches, if the facts these researches might uncover is a threat to your religion then i think such beliefs needs to be re-evaluated. But science is not a belief system or a dogma... science is study and application of consistent logic in the face of observed facts. Evolution as a scientific theory is not an immutable dogma neither does it assert absolute truth has been reached, just like other subjects of enquiry evolution also seeks facts to negate its actuality that is how truthful approximations are reached. You feel threatened by it because your beliefs involve a stoic conviction whether the assertion is true or not.. Evolution does not negate the existence of any God, many theists are evolutionists too.. |

Van Allen radiation belt cannot stop a probe from travelling outside of the earth's magnetosphere.. This your assertion of a propaganda is quite unfounded per say.. |

johnydon22:well you have to understand that within empires there is rivalry and they will reveal secrets so as to outdo each other. one of the secrets revealed is that there have been attempts to get to the moon but the van allen radiation belt is a barrier you can never get near or you and your nasa craft will be fried into a crisp. so you have to pay attention to rivalry of empires cuz that is when all the secrets get leaked. notwithstanding, nasa is a propaganda machine for the elites. it is their semblance to god so you know they will throw out lots of lofty ideas to bamboozle the masses. not saying all they do is propaganda because they do some very good work. |
