.
here's an excerpt from a Sierra Leone newspaper years back.

On 02 December 1997 Sierra Leone's military junta accused
Nigeria on Tuesday of moving an amphibious tank landing ship
and two support vessels into Sierra Leone's territorial waters. A
military spokesman said the NNS Ambe and two support ships
had anchored 30 nautical miles off the Sierra Leonean coast
before pulling back into international waters. "The three Nigerian
warships which anchored about 30 nautical miles in Sierra Leone
territorial waters have sailed back into international waters from
their former position," the spokesman said.

fear of invasion.
.
so you see how we outclass you? we can invade any country in Africa except Egypt, morroco and algeria
According to your Navy only NNS Ambe is in service, and even though im honestly surprised you have a landing ship, it doesnt strike much fear considering it can only carry +- 10 BTRs.

Hahaha and No you can't invade us, in fact there's no African country that has even remotely close to having the capacity to invade us.

LSTs are used for invasions.
we could fix the other one if the need arises.
both can hold about 1500 infantry men or 15 Tanks combine.

like I said before Rome wasn't built in a day. we will get there.
Rome was founded by extremely ambitious men,men who saw an opportunity to make a small prosperous city into an empire that spanned 3 continents, men like Marcus Licinus Crassus,Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus,Gaius Julius Caesar,Mark Anthony, and Gaius Octavius Thurinus; our leaders seem to be contented in being a local champion, bowing and scraping to european countries without getting a whisker in return, lol,India even insulted us by brandishing peanuts under our nose in form of "foreign aid to Nigeria and other african countries".
I want a situation where instead of a fickle annual "India-Africa summit",we have a "India-Nigeria economic pact".
I know that we will get there.

Nope your LST can definitely not hold 15 tanks + 1500 Infantry, as i said before its 10 BTRs + less than 100 Infantry, doesn't really strike fear in to your enemy does it?

And your support ships dont really mean much, when it comes to physically invading a country.

Lastly we never invade by see(and most likely never will), honestly if you dont have an aircraft carrier, invading by see is pretty much impossible when fighting a competent enemy with a decent Airforce.

How did you cross to the other side of the lake or river? SANDF has NO amphibious armoured vehicle? If a water body is too wide your bridge layer cannot span across the distance if you want to build pontoon bridges, the enemy will catch up from behind you and wìpe out SANDF at the water side, then dump their dead bodies into the river to tilapia fish to eat.

Meanwhile IMF says Egypt has overtaken South Africa in GDP as every thing about South Africa continues to decline.

South Africa is getting wrecked even without a war or insurgency at home, imagine where the country will be if they were the ones fighting a 6 year Boko Haram war on homesoil.

-1500 infantrymen OR 15 Tanks.
-support ships don't mean much? that's a stupid reasoning, why was it called 'SUPPORT'.
-you for know that if we were to invade we'll equip our 3 frigate with potent air defence systems to deal with air threats.
-we also have two stealth OPV and about 10 corvettes and fast attack boats. with varying degree of anti-air defence.
.

1.We drove around, and why the f@ck is the enemy coming from behind all of a sudden??
2. I knew Egypt passed us 6 months ago you slow fvckers, how the f.ck did it take you so long to find out? either way it doesnt change much, Egypt has double the population of South Africa and an abundance of oil wealth it had to happen, but we still have a much higher GDP per capita, much much higher revenue, much higher credit rating, more advanced economy ect ect ect and BTW our economy is set to recover by the end of 2017

This is what you said:
"both can hold about 1500 infantry men or 15 Tanks combine" can you see now were the misunderstanding came from?? anyway it can hold about 9-10 Tanks not 15 and about 600-700 infantry not 1500.

1. You obviously misunderstood what i meant when i said they dont mean much, I meant that they can't deploy any vehicles, thus play no physical part during the invasion phase. I didnt mean that they are useless and play no part t all.
2. All very nice, but you forgot the fact that a single Heroine class sub can sink your entire fleet, trust me its not our airforce you should worry about, secondly lets just say by some miracle your single LST does land a few hundred troops...How are you going to protect them from our Rooivalk and Hawk without any air-support??

The ANC is incapable of leading an economic or military recovery in south Africa .

Already Zuma is already playing the blame game instead of looking for solutions. South Africa is just another Zimbabwe in the making.

The political class is massively corrupt and incompetent while the vast black population are incapable of changing ANC as they view it as their liberator.

Now the rest of Africa is growing economically by 4% while south Africa is stagnant and will take only a miracle if they can get 1.5%

Our southy visitors on this thread are having illusionary hallucinations and/or have mastered the art of self-dellusion.

All their rants and vain arguments here are only the dying efforts of a wounded animal.

If the enemy is not coming from behind you, then he is on the other side of the river, so he is waiting for you with his tanks, you are the one who now needs to cross a wide lake Victoria with pontoon bridges and not all pontoons can hold a heavy tank to cross.

Do you know how much heavy material in large numbers is needed to be transported from your HQ base to a far away river? You think is like loading one truck with oranges? How many building materials are needed to bridge a large lake and how many days to transport them by land especially if it's over harsh road terrain, you dunce? See why modern armies have simple solution of amphibious vehicles? Fool, SANDF is a bunch of fools with no amphibious vehicles in 2015 !

By the way, does your motorized infantry drive around with bridges all the time in case they might need them ? All we see in your military exercises are basic MRAPs.

Dude you guys sit with the same problem then! As i said before are you going to cross lake Victoria with only your Sagai and a few apc to face an enemy with Tanks? Not to mention that you are sailing at walking pace!!

Also we barely need any building material to build a bridge, thats why we have pontoon bridge layers and pontoon boats. And any Lake thats to big to build a bridge over is definitely to big to cross by sailing over it with an amphibious vehicle going only 7km/h, it would be much more effective to just drive around.

Militaries also prepare before going on a mission if you did not know, Its not like the SANDF will be driving around and all of a sudden Lake Victoria pops up and every body just stands there with their dick in their hand. Trust me most militaries know the terrain they are going to face, and thus deploy equipment accordingly.

Same Britain sailed a massive army, navy, and air force across the massive Atlantic ocean about 15,000 km away from home to defend and win back Falkland Island from Argentine military forces, so why is a small piece of water a 'big' barrier to hinder British military operations in Northern Island? You sure you are in the navy? Or are you employee of a fishing company catching crabs and sardines?

Again i am not talking military i am talking geology. The people of Ireland are different from the British. The big one and the reasons for the war is religion. Again the war took place in UK territory but not British lands. The local population was hostile towards them.

Why on earth we crossing where his tanks are? Do you think your lightly armoured amphibious APCs could cross a area guarded by a armoured force?

We have a lot of trucks. Standard motorised battalion is 88 to 100 APCs and 100 trucks. A 4 gun arty battery as about 10 some times more trucks.

They get supplied as needed with.

I shal now tell you somthing you sermed to of forgotten. Amphibious vehicles have a tactical advantge they able to exploit in a very specific set of circumstances. Becuase even your battalions have at least a 50% ratio of logistical to combat vehicle's. Your trucks are not amphibious. Mean if you wanted to attack you will need a bridge to.

Those circumstances for amphibious vehicle's are common in swampy areas like the Niger delta. In SA we dont have any area like that on the scale that matters. What we do have is a lot of open space with killometers of nothing. Hence we focused on endurance. We have different requirements and needs though long range is a advantage that is more easily exploited that amphibious.

15 tanks or 1500 men. Great have fun your tanks will run out fuel and be captured your men will run out of food and be unable to advance and will surrender when they realize the enemy as freaking tanks.

Yeah aka they got guns. So unless you never move from the beach they cant protected your guys. Any case they all targets for a submarine.

your own source.

For Seifert, 43, the SASF course reminded the 25-year veteran of his early days in the U.S. Army infantry, when survival training was an annual event. While some things the South Africans taught resembled training from his 17 years in Special Forces, the Minnesota- native learned important lessons.
.
Another part.
.
In all, the Soldiers learned about more than 70 birds, 50 trees and 25 insect species. When it comes to eating bugs - yeah, they did a lot of that - Otfinoski learned to avoid insects with bright colors Stick to natural tones, like those of the brown grasshopper - of which Otfinoski ate hundreds during his few weeks in the bush.
.
.
lol.. The US has been doing that type of training before on their own soil for years
