I have increased the number of workers making blocks in this site and expect to have almost all the blocks needed for the upper floor by weekend.

I got word that the iron fitters are done with the job, they have left the site.

I am sure the carpenters returned to site yesterday to complete the decking framing before the casting.

The plumber has completed his work and left the site.

The electrician is busy working since yesterday and should complete the work today.

Sand and gravel supply is going smoothly, there is no reason why they cannot get enough for us to work with.

Casting this decking has been planned for tomorrow, just making sure we are ready in all respects............

I pray it will not climb to N6m, although my village people might refuse to give me that cheiftancy title if I don't hang stone coated roofing tiles on this building, my in laws might even get annoyed and withdraw their daughter from my house (joking)

The point I am trying to make is that the final cost is not clear to me now, and when it becomes clear, should I build your house with exact cost as my own, who will pay my service charges for supervision? Or should I also do yours for free as I am doing this one?

My guess is that the material of the landing surface would also have an effect on the result when dropped. For example, landing on a lose sandy soil would be different from landing on a German, concrete or Asphalt floor.

Where I buy blocks, they tied a sledge hammer head to a long rope to make a pendulum. Then they also choose at random the block(s) to be tested and tie it to another long piece of rope (long bandage). The block is suspended, next the sledge hammer pendulum is pulled (about 3 meters away from position of block) and allowed to swing towards the block, thus impacting on the block along its path of motion. This is the most reliable test I have seen.

Hehehe. Very funny. U would have discussed with the moulder yourself. How many blocks to mould from a bag and how much to pay for moulding a bag. Most times, its even better to ask people he has moulded for to review him before u give him the job. If they know u know what they know, it won't be so easy to cheat you. Buy the materials yourself.
Let me give u a trick my mum use on my brothers. She gives them money to buy the material and before the work starts, they snap the material and send to her via wassap. At the end of the day, they also snap the used bags and send to her via wassap too. Work done is also shaped and sent to her via wassap on daily basis.
