Travelstart is the most unreliable ticketing agency I have seen and I think they are fraud.
Booked a ticket with them to minneapolis on 27/11/15(black friday) around 11.30pm,which was N204.042 and saw that the booking will last for about 24hours before it expires.they kept on sending me reminder on my phone about the payment.paid the money around 5.30pm the next day but couldn't get through to them for payment confirmation, called all their after hours emergency numbers they didn't pick, sent them mails too (even posted it on NL that if anyone knows how I can get through to them)was able to talk to someone around 6.30pm(no good customer relation)but didn't really care just wanted my payment to be confirmed and my ticket issued.she said payment confirmed I will issue your ticket within 1 hour.got a mail from them around 7.15 that my payment has been confirmed and my ticket will be issued.got another mail around 10.20 pm that I have to pay extra N102366 that at the time of issuing that it was more.

I was pissed cos I payed before the 24hrs expires and all. So I called them on Monday (yesterday)since they don't pick their calls and was able to talk to someone and was told there is nothing they can do. Ok can u refund my money? He said yes that I should send them a mail that I will get it before the end of the day.naso I know see any alert o. I called again this morning that I didn't get alert was told not to worry that I will get it before the end of closing of work today that they do refunds Tuesdays and Thursdays. I called about 2pm today that I have not gotten an alert the lady( ifeoma) was telling me to calm down told her I need the money to book for another ticket and she cut of the call, called back again and again nobody picked.
See me see trouble o,i should calm down on top my money and u cut off the call, hope say I never enter one chance. Called back again some mins to 4pm to tell them that I have not gotten any alert, the ifeoma said I should hold on, I did and she cut the call again. Called back again and immediately she knew I was the one she cut call the call and they stopped picking my calls.

Please nairalanders help me o,hope I never enter one chance and the most painful part of it is that I saw another ticket on wakanow through delta airlin which was reasonable and this people have refused to return my money or give me an explanation.
My advice nobody should use travelstart,no good customer relation and I think they are fraud.

Don't leave this thing to black market o! It's too expensive for u not to get at least $4k from ur bank

Thank so much for the reply. I later called Delta as adviced and the price they gave me no smile at all. N445k compared to the 270k on wakanow. Thinking I will go with wakanow but will need to do some calculation so that we don't need change travel dates, will only be left with adding baby's ticket which can not be up to the 175k difference. Thinking of booking the return leg to be exactly a month after expected delivery date. We are thinking of c-section, so my life believes we can actually determine date of delivery. Please kindly advice, will a month be enough to process all baby's document in Missouri ? secondly, pls is it true that we can choose the delivery date? Abeg help me o, before I go enter one chance

Hi Everyone.
Thanks for your responses to my last post.
I have a letter from my Obstetrician stating that she's my doctor. I also have several email correspondence with her office. I however do not have a pediatrician yet. Do I need to get a letter from a pediatrician too for POE?
Thanks for your anticipated kind responses.

Please, help me understand. what is the current exchange rate?, I can't seem to figure out the rate from the alerts I get, using the pos or atm (plus bank charges), i am half the time pressing calculator and always end up more confused...! I use both Gtb and Stanbic debit cards.

Most doctors in the USA don't induce until after 40 weeks unless it's high risk pregnancy/multiples,but am thinking for you to want to go for CS upfront maybe she has done it before, then it's usually proffered as from 38 weeks in order for baby's lungs to have matured and avoid going to NICU.In terms of passport,it depends on when the hospital starts to process the birth certificate and SSN after giving birth, also whether there is a U.S passport office in Missouri or if you plan to pay for expedite services(usually 10-14days),then naija visa(process for this is on this forum) about 1 week or less, there's also option of passport in NY,Atlanta, and Washington.in conclusion I will suggest 6 weeks after birth for all documents even postpartum check up sef. Good luck

I was told Walmart's parents choice diapers is better than huggies and pampers. I dnt know how true that is. Has anyone tried it out?

Used it for my first. The newborn size is not too bad but the bigger sizes are a bit papery. In my opinion its very similar to huggies snug and dry (which I used as well and which I dont think is great for small babies; for little babies (newborn to size 2) I think little snugglers is better for their tender bottoms). One thing I noticed was that it made my baby sweat on her lower back (this was size 3 so she was moving around a lot by then) so I discontinued use. Hear they've improved it though so you could give it a try. Its worth a shot if it works for you. You would save a lot. Can also recommend asda little angels in the uk (havnt tried the smaller sizes tho) and aldi mamia (also uk. Im not sure about the american variant).

There's a BA counter at the departure and there are no third party airlines involved, jus BA. What's the specific issue to look out for?

customised87:

I ll advise you to sharply confirm that there is a BA counter at ur Departure airport. You may have an issue if its American Airline thats carrying u on the first leg my 1cent.

I'll let the people who gave birth in Missouri give specific guidance. But generally speaking, as long as you're very well prepared, a month is more than enough to get all your baby's documents.

We decided for wifey to stay back a month after giving birth. After we got all our documents in less than 2 weeks, iyawo became homesick. Of course we won't touch Wakanow with a long stick when it comes to changing itinerary so DW had no choice but to stay back. If you're with loved ones though, it may be better to stay back and let your baby enjoy American breeze before he/she gets introduced to the hot, noisy, atmosphere of Nigeria.

As for picking your own date, yes it is possible but you will need your OB to sanction that.
