SEUN can't stop any body from expressing there opinion, he does not have the power neither can he stop the revolution. But he has the right to state the rules of the game here on Nairaland. And if you read carefully through the lines; what he was saying his that promoting Biafran in such a way that will disrupt nairalanders would not be tolorated, simple as ABC......

I want Biafra cos I think it's cool to live in a small country...I want Biafra cos seun doesn't support...I want Biafra so we can call nkwobi a foreign food...

I think a thread should be opened for discussion on why some and not all Ibos want a Biafra state because from want I know our or their problems is not in a state creation rather in good governance. We tend to fight same course when we have common enemy but once the enemy differs that is when you will see that their is no unity in the struggle and no homogeneous Ibo society.

I'm with Seun on this one.

As much as it may sound unfair to pro-biafrans, Nairaland is technically a NIGERIAN-inspired forum. So naturally, any movement that incites or promotes the disintegration of this foundation should not be tolerated.

I personally think this country should divide. I'm always disgusted by d tripe IgboS spew all over d internet. Why should I have to live in d same country wt them?

I think u should go wt wole Soyinka on this issue seun.

Peaceful dissolution is possible. Ecspecially when everyone is sick of each other as we so clearly are. Pple forget d hausas were d first to bring up seccession in d 60's, after nzeogwus coup. They wanted to leave.

The only problem I foresee wt peaceful dissolution is DT it will be replicated along tribal lines all over Africa. The west will not want DT.

Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).

Mr Seun;
I think you are getting it wrong;my own opinion; under the law everybody has the right to freedom of speech and self determination propelled by the spirit of nationalism. The so called Biafrans have not committed any crime by making their opinion known to government of Nigeria and the whole world.I would rather you discuss the issue of Biafra and try to argue your opinion in support of the republic of Nigeria on this forum than to come and play BOSS here. Gently baba Ile nyo.

I am Yoruba and indifferent to the cause of Biafra. At a point I definitely felt the expression of inter-tribal hatred by all parties was on the extreme. I expected that your group will create words that could be censored, making it difficult to post threads with those word. However any change in spelling and the world will escape being censored.

Moderating every post and every thread would also be very labour intensive and that might be the reason for an outright ban.

I however suggest you comb through all these comments for possible solutions, maybe transfer all such posts to a hidden section or something but this outright ban doesn't seat too well.

Think about it.
