Only Ekiti,Kaduna and Lagos budget looks realistic to me. Look at akwa ibom state,Where will the get that money? There only hope is federal allocation and of cause I know what they get is very high but will they still be getting those high monthly allocation with this dwindling oil price? Their IGR is meagre. Lagos is a very rich state I know they can finance their whole ideas. They don't need monthly allocation, tax alone has solved the ish. Kaduna allocation is quite high and I know El rufai will improve our IGR but am surprise about kano and jigwa. Haaa..........We are watching for miracles. 2 Likes 1 Share |

grafikii:My friend stop deceiving urself, it is only people of no vision who will think they can do beyond what they earn at a paticular time. It is very pertinent that any government who wish to achieve great thing in office and hope to do well for his people will plan beyond what the state earn at times and look for way farward to execute his plan either by borrowing money or source for it through the increment of IGR. Fayose is a mere noise maker, he is visionless..... |

Adedolapo1406: his government has been redundant since the beginning of this year. no need to regret, unfortunately he was the best of those who presented themselves for elections Maybe with the exception of engr. Makinde. but just imagine an akala or a ladoja there, it probably would be worse. ajimobi is clueless. his government is unfocused. sometimes I wonder if madam is not giving him rest of mind at home. 1 Like |

PHIPEX: Am surprised at Cross River State budget too. It's absolutely unrealistic and imaginary. Cross River economy rest on Primary Agriculture and tourism. These sectors are still relatively inactive and under-exploited. I am wonderimg how Governor intends to finance his over bloated budget. |

Ekiti state budget though. I would like to see the breakdown of the budget. I want to believe that items like, money for bags of rice for the citizens on Easter day, buying of okada for crippled ekiti people etc will be prevalent in the budget. |

allthingsgood: Ekiti State, it's people and their eccentric governor are classic paradox. The people believe that their state is poor and they don't need any other infrastructure except stomach infrastructure. Their cracked-head Governor believes that governance is show-biz, comedy and deception. The citizens love the eccentric governor for his demented posturing. Now, this is a state with comparative advantages in Minerals, Agriculture and tourism which if properly harness by a cerebral and result-oriented government, will turn the state into the mineral and agribusiness hub of Africa. But the citizens prefers and celebrate mediocrity, underdevelopment, backwardness and poverty. Thus, Fayose style of short-changing and deceiving them is the best form of governance. Imagine northern states like Jigawa,Yobe, Borno,Adamawa etc that have been ravaged by Boko haram still able to generate higher revenue than Ekiti that has close proximity to Lagos and can benefit from adjacent opportunities flowing from places like Lagos, Ondo, Oyo etc. Presently, the drugged- governor personally collects taxes and pockets same! He has no economic and social development agenda for his people other than show-off in market places and abusing the central government. That's the mystery of modern Ekiti: An homogeneous state, filled with so many well-educated persons and natural resources, that manages to spend so much time, getting no where! 3 Likes 3 Shares |

greatiyk4u:Nice one Bro. Please can you provide more info on both the debt and equity components of these budgets. That will give a clearer picture of each Governor's mindset. I am particularly wary of Cross Rivers huge budget, a state that is almost broke with less revenue projections, having lost most of their oil wells, need to be watched. Same with Aregbesola and some other heavily indebted states. Meanwhile I think it is time for Nigerians to start presenting people with track records in Entrepreneuring and practical business management for governance. The days ahead is for creative people that can see beyond going to Abuja to collect FAAC. |

All middlebeltan states r INCONCLUSIVE. Bubu in the end wants to win the hearts of MiddleBelt I am sure. because he is sure that we will be used once again by Hausa-Fulani to crush Biafra as we were used in the past. Let's just see what he has for us especially not after all his Fulani mad cattle rearers have nearly wiped us out. Well this time around we are wiser and will play to the tune of anyone with the highest bidding , either Hausa-Fulani or Biafra. This is y we are called Middle Belt. We are between the two extremes and can be used either for peace or war Its called negotiation. So Biafra how market wetin u get for us or shd we allow ourselves to be used again by the Hausa-Fulani to fight n conquer you? |
