Where will these states get this budget money? IGR or FG or what?
No bashing pls. Just want to know

Yes the FG gives as state allocation, security votes and other incentives. Also, States generate IGR to compliment what the FG gives. Lastly, some states gets investors to help their economies.

Fayose has no projects for 2016, all he wants to do is pay salaries, pay newspaper advert, cut ponmo with other delicate meat and fish anatomy.
He will end it all with holy ghost prayer by december 2016.

Ekiti has the least budget for the year 2016. The state's administrator might be realistic with the financial condition of the State. Some states can come up with huge budget and in the end they will deliver too little.

Instead of castigating Fayose why people can't place his state's budget side by side with other states of similar status, in terms of size, population and economic potential and follow stages of their development?

What if millions budgeted to finance projects are not released? Previous experiences have shown that government hardly release half of the money as placed in the budget

From the figures in the table, some states could have done justice if they divide their budget estimates by 3 or more...
Re: 2016 Budgets By States In Nigeria.................check Your States Own. by Bimpe29: 10:21am On Dec 24, 2015
As far as budgetary system is concerned, the monetary estimate on paper lends credence to many physical projects and socioeconomic growth. I want to say categorically that, this concept has been defeated and debunked, in Kwara State. What we see is only in paper, with nothing to show for it.

But where and what exactly are they spending all this money on? you hardly see anything tangible been achieved with this huge amount...we are usually only concerned about Fg,but if we channel energy on the state/local govt as we are cross checking The FG then Nigeria might get better...

we know electricity is rocket science in nigeria but these states what exactly are they doing with the money? pay only salaries? cos that's the only thing you hear them complain about, are they not supposed to be using that money to generate more and directly benefit the lives of citizens?

Osun state educational system is the worse i've ever seen! Just take a look at his budget.

Does he want to use it to finance his wife's contract of osun state school uniform for students?

Take a look at his case and remove your eyes from Fayose!

Lagos yes

They get more money than most states because of tax they get from oil and gas companies in the State. (PAYE and others) .The state also get 13% derivation. So make sense the state is 2nd after Lagos. Which state were you expecting to be 2nd?

The consequence of robust budget of states with low IGR and Federal Allocation is borrowing to finance the budget.
Borrowing to finance a budget is not bad in itself but these our politicians have ulterior motives.
Borrowing entails more money available for looting. Corruption continues while the debt profile of the individual states keeps rising.
God save Nigerians from Nigerians!
