additional info.

I studied Sociology and graduated with 2,2 from Uni Ilorin.

though the man at the study centre adviced me to choose Human Resources, but i did not see Human Resoiurces as a course in the course outline i saw on the website. it appeared like an elective course.

1) First exams starts in the month of March or so. (last year, it was on the 23rd of March).
2) NOUN course materials are all online for the grand public to view and download. Hard copies are available but then, one has to be there early enough on a collection day to pick his in order to avoid queue.
3) I'd say yeah based on this:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

a) To qualify for admission into any of the postgraduate programmes of the University, a candidate must meet, among others, all matriculation requirements of at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics. Some programmes accept at least a pass in Mathematics.

b) For Postgraduate Diploma Programmes, Candidates must possess either a minimum of pass Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Senate of the NOUN OR a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit. For the Postgraduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting, the candidate must have been called to the Bar. Also for admission into the school of Business and Human Resource Management Postgraduate Diploma programmes, candidates with professional qualifications such as ACA, ACIS, ACIB, ACII, ACIA, etc may be considered on individual merit.

c) For Master degree programmes, candidates must possess either a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of second class lower in the relevant field of study from a University recongnised by the Senate of the NOUN. However, holders of lower classification and with a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience may be considered on individual merit OR a Postgraduate Diploma in related field of study from a recongnised University OR A Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in the relevant field of study. Candidate with membership certificate of relevant professional bodies may apply for the Master of Business (MBA) programme.

d) For the Doctor of Philosophy Degree prorammes, candidates must possess a masters degree in relevant field of study from a University recongised by the Senate of the NOUN with a minimum score average of not less than 60% or a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5-point scale. Studying with us gives a rewarding experience as we give you all the support you need to succeed. You are welcome.

Congrats smiley

I think the message said it all, my bro.

Your qualifications didn't meet up with the minimum requirements. A change of course might be an option but that is if you are sure you'd meet up with that one.

As the message suggests, however, visit the nearest study center asap if you are convinced you are qualified for the program.

Wish you the best! smiley

Congrats!

The compulsory fee was 41k for us. I wouldn't know if it has been changed. Yes, you can load your e-wallet with enough cash for every payment. I said, "load your e-wallet" cause that's what you're basically doing when you pay in at the bank. After the payment, you can now log onto your portal to use the cash for anything - basically exam and course registration - and view your balance at any point. Exam registration fee is simply 2k per paper. After paying, it reflects on your e-wallet, you log in and use the cash for course registration. Print out the course registration slip and take it to school for clearance. You can also register for your exams if they are already available on the portal or do that later with the fund remaining on your wallet. A stamped print-out of the exam registration slip and your ID card are the things you need to enter the exam hall with when the time comes.

Note that when you go to the bank to pay, they will tell you cannot pay more than a certain amount. This doesn't mean you can't fill your e-wallet at a time, it simply means you need to use more than one teller for that.

Hey, I found this for you!

Oh cry

The same question over and over again....

grin Lol, Ok, it's at least two semesters. How many semesters you spend is a matter of of how many courses you decide to take in a semester. Yeah, it is that flexible but the more time you spend, the more expenses cause you'd have to pay base fee each semester.

Good evening,

There are two batches per year. The January set and the July set. For the January set, their first semester starts in January and for the July set, in July. So you might be doing your first semester now while someone else is doing his second.

A new student is simply is newly admitted student (first semester of course).
A returning student first semester is an old student who is doing the first semester of the current session (maybe first semester of his second, third or fourth year).
A returning student second semester is an old student who is doing the second semester of the current session (maybe second semester of his second, third or fourth year)

Cool?

Visit your study center. They will give you an e-mail address to which you will send your proposed topics. One will be chosen for you and a supervisor will be signed to you alongside with it. The earlier, the better.

The thread is for post graduate students. We don't know a thing about JAMB and regularization.

I'm sure you will find a suitable thread for your questions here on Nairaland if you look around. smiley

.Good day people, i have been an admirer of this thread. My name is Andrew and I have a question which has been on my mind: i love accounting and i want to be a lecturer and a professor in the course but due to financial constraints I want to 'diversify' a little and do a PGD In Financial Mgt(i have a B.Sc in Edu/Acc) and then do a M.Sc in Business Admin and then move to Ph.D In Accounting(If I am permitted but if not I can settle for M.Phil before Ph.D). So my question is can I still lecture in Accounting with all these "diversifications"? "Seniors" in the house please respond. Thanks in anticipation.

For such specific questions, I suggest you get to a study center. The info we have is that apart from having the basic matric requirements, the candidate must have,at least, BSc - second class lower - in any related course to qualify. This "related course" is not defined online. But I am sure peeps here who are in your department should know the accepted courses. Let's hope they answer. I am a science student cry
