Bro dat was a mistake from the agent who applied for the Visa on my behalf. I intend travelling a week b4 my start date bt the visa issued to me was a week after my start date. And dats where my question comes in. Hope you understand.

You need to contact the embassy to correct it or ask for written permission to travel earlier than your start date.

Sorry i intend travelling on 23rd January and nt Feb as typed bt my Visa is starting 11th Feb. Hp U got it clearly now.

Pls note: He doesn't not plan to live there but he need the visa to be able to see his wife whenever he want.

Then what he needs is visiting visa and not dependant visa. Dependant visa is for those wishing to live with their partners in the UK during their studies.
