Congrats Beremx
Please I have a question ooo
Can one use cyclogest after cerclage?
In my second pregnancy my water broken at @ 6 month. The baby died after two days. In the third pregnancy I had a cerclage procedure done but the membrane ruptured at 16 weeks.
Became pregnant after a year and had cerclage procedure at 13week. Went into Labour @22 weeks and had a stillbirth.
You know God is never tired of blessing us.

With this wonderful pregnancy, I saw a diff gyne who placed me on cyclogest and aspirin since I took in. I just had a cerclage procedure and on bed rest. My question is do I continue with the cyclogest as the doc says my cervix is short. Please I need advise as this pregnancy must get to term as God promise are ye and Amen

@all mamas, i have a weird question i've been scared of asking. But i know you all won't mock me too much. Is it okay to swallow your routine drugs with eba?
I can't stand drugs in my throat. The only one i can manage to swallow with water or drink is folic acid. As for the rest, i just put them inside eba and use soup to swallow it. Been doing this for months now. I hope the drugs will still be effective?

welcum raptor2,may d Lord bless u and may u carry to term and ur delivery shall b smooth too in Jesus name,am teamjuly too

Ma'am,

I followed this route throughout my pregnancy as I don't take drugs with water except colored liquids smiley and for fear of jedi-jedi as well as protecting my LO, EBA was d best option.

Happy bumping sis.

wen u go next week n u r ready for ur son to take it dey ll start frm pcv1 n rota1 n complete d 3 doses
u ll feel bad if u can afford it n ur boy gets d disease.
also note dat per adventure d child comes down wit dat disease it wont b as devastating like a child wit no prior immunity.
If it were free lol ur mum wont mind cheesy

Sabi mamas help me out here please at our six weeks immunization my mum refused my son from being giving the PCV1 and ROTAVIRUS1 vaccines which are called "specials" and cost 7500 and 9500 respectively! We only took the penta which cost 250 naira!

Her reason was that they were unnecessary! And the nurses too didn't say much or try to convince me to allow my son take it.
I also observed some other mother's too that their LOs didn't receive the vaccinne!
Next Wednesday is our 10weeks rounds and I want to give my son the PCV2 and ROTAVIRUS2 should I or shouldn't I?
I googled it and saw that its a combo vaccine that protects a child against a number of diseases and I feel so bad that I didn't allow my son take its first dose. Will it still be effective since we missed the initial dosage?
And does it cost that much everywhere or is my hospitals price inflated? Please help a confused mum out please.[/quote]

Guess the plenty moni for it didn't go down well with mumsi.
You will start from PCV1 and Rota1 den proceed to 2 and 3 during subsequent visits.
You have to take them from the scratch.
You can scout for hospital with cheaper price.
I do pay 15k for both, the other hospital I used for 1st immunization was higher so I had to run. The vaccines are really important. Kisses to Ekene

Beremx:
ok dear.

typing from my hospital bed....

My EDD was on the 23rd of this month. I registered at a Primary health care near my area and when i was asked about my previous pregnancy if i had any, i told them i had a CS before though i lost the child 5years later. I was told bluntly that I cannot give birth at the PHC so they referred me to Alimosho General hospital Igando. I refused to go because of the horrible stories i have been hearing about government owned hospitals so i registered in a private hospital.

Fast forward to my due date, due to the high cost of CS in private hospitals, i had no option than to go back to the government hospital to register. Though the doctors at the private hospital had told me i would have another CS because my baby was breech. Registering at General hospital 3days to my EDD, the doctors confirmed the same thing.

Honestly,i was marvelled when i visited Alimosho General Hospital and saw what was there. Kudos to Fashola.

The doctors at the government hospital booked me for CS on Tuesday that's yesterday when I registered last week Thursday. Luckily for me,i started contracting last week Friday so i had to rush to the hospital.

The surgery was done on 23rd January after battling with finding fluid in my spinal cord for three hours. This was to make me awake during the surgery. The doctors had no option than to give me anaesthetic which made me sleep.

My son was born around 3am and he didn't cry. After several beatings he cried faintly. He was admitted immediately but to God be the glory,he was discharged yesterday after several tests were done on his which confirmed he was medically fit.

By today,we both will be discharged.

About the cost of CS in the hospital and the disparity,i will talk about that later. smiley
When a birth of a new born baby is announced, no one will know the pain before the gain and think it's just rice and beans. Thank God for the safe delivery and may we all deliver like hebrew women.

He is still very big ....looking very mature. Congratulations once again. Please do come and share with us how the whole CS went so we can learn. Doc has hinted the possibility of me having a CS .

Don't worry dear, you will be fine. The truth is the pain of CS varies. I have had 2 CS and they were different experiences. First one was an emergency CS, I had prolonged labour. The pain was massive and recovery took 3-4weeks. I had an elective CS 3 weeks ago because my baby was too big to have a VBAC and now, I am jumping all around. I even sleep on my tommy now. So don't worry, just commit all in God's hands. Mother and Childs safety is the priority and the joy of motherhood superceed all the pain.

Cyclogest is safe my dear, within 2weeks cervical length changed from 2cm to 4cm but after 3wEeks it was stopped cos it was prescribed by another gynae, main gynae said it was not really necessary. However, it saved d period of contraction sha

Kindly give your baby the vaccine. Most parents don't due to the cost , negligence or lack of education. Since can afford it go for it. There a lot of ailments in d air. Prevention is better than cure.

Chinwendym:
Mitchyy its very OK to put your tabs inside EBA mold as long as its not hot! Your body will still absorb it the same way if you take it with water.

Good evening all.

Congrats to all mothers who already downloaded.

Team May, little by litte, day by day we are getting there. We will get there safely by His grace.

Hmmm, this CS cost difference in hospitals, God will help us deliver safely and vaginaly. I pray for a vaginal delivery daily. Like my aunt will say, let them come out like hard poo. That was what she said when I asked her the feeling, she finished and asked if that was all.

A friend total medical cost for cs was 205k, though all paid by the health insurance we use in the office. She never knew health insurance cover the cs cost until she was asked to sign upon discharge. I think if we have health insurance that cover cs bills we can take advantage of it especially those who work in corporate places.

@Raptor, this time the pregnancy is for nine months with a healthy baby in Jesus name.

Cyclogest is safe but I think you can use it through the anal.

with NHIS, you only pay 10per cent of d bills. Are those hospitals not NHIS approved? I'm just suprised with d high costs mamas are puttinh down. We're really lucky over here o, to think we only paid 10k for d bills which include cs and bed space for nine days.
