N4B is not too much to spend on the health facility used by our top government functionaries. Like they say, the devil is in the details. In any case, no one has suggested that the money is too much, in absolute terms, the condemnation is in relation to money proposed for other federal TEACHING hospitals. Again, I can not justify (or unjustify, pardon the coinage) the figures based on the little information I have. Neither can you, nor anyone else.

On the other hand, general hospitals and teaching hospitals, in addition to their allocation in the budget, generate revenue. They charge for everything and only few pay their staff exclusively from their earnings. The question is this' how well managed are the public hospitals? Th state house clinic does not generate a dime in revenue and as such shouldn't have too high a percentage. Of the budget, yet t public hospitals must be more accountable.

The Teaching hospitals in Nigeria generate lots of funds everyday yet they still wait to be spoon fed by the Government,
a colleague once spent 120k on a 4 day stay and treatment in the hospital, these hospitals dont operate or treat anyone for free, yet millions troop there everyday. what do they do will all the money they generate internally, why are institutions in Nigeria not self sustaining?
The same apply to most lazy states that only wait for Monthly Allocation to do anything.
