Kudos to PMB for his efforts to rebuilding a strong military force after years of neglect. No good government can joke with its military except clueless. Nigerian military has been known for its strong resilience and fierce combat against any terror group in the past.

Only dummies cannot see the good side of this new government...but only time can tell.

LONG LIVE NIGERIAN ARMY!

That's the best you've got? I understand poverty, education and exposure is your problem, so i will try to enlighten you. How can it be a good thing when the vehicle does not provide any sort of protection or tactical advantage for the soldier? If the vehicle had stealth, it probably would be ok, but BH soldiers would hear them coming for miles away. If it was me, i'd place my M240 or M249 on a line of approach and just open up my cone of fire at anything that approaches it or crosses it. I've done it before. Your mumu brain can never fathom the st.upidiy of this move and it never will.

Infact i'm of the opinion that mines and IEDs won't be much of a problem for N.A Kawazaki bikers. The bikes are so light and fast, they in most cases won't have the required mass to trigger a pressure plate IED.

Adminisher:

The bikes are 95% safe from IEDs. Their weights are too low to set things off usually. It is also easier for a bike to avoid IEDs. No sophisticated land mines are in Boko arsenal.

I think I've done justice to your stup.idity!

Good day!

This is the height of it. How phucking re.tarded can you be? I am a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghan wars and you are quoting st.upid people who have the same mental deficiency as you to defend you dumb opinion. Really?

1. You don't have to drive over an IED for it to go off. All you need is someone with a cell phone within range.

2. A motorcycle has enough weight to trigger a mine.

3. How can a motor bike be 95% safe in the event it is hit by an IED? It is practically unsafe when used for normal everyday use and you want to test it against a bomb? No wonder our Soldiers are dying like chickens.

4 IEDs are not the only thing killing our soldiers. A well placed rifle aimed towards a soldier sitting on a bike will do as much damage.

I wonder how people like you continue to exist. You are cheating the rest of us by breathing the same air we breathe.

The effectiveness of being lighter and faster wasn’t lost on Lithuanian
Special Forces in Afghanistan’s rugged Zabul Province who, in 2007,
parked their armored trucks and cowboyed-up on high-powered Yamaha
and KTM motocross bikes to take the fight to the enemy.
In a place where the roads are littered with improvised bombs the move
seemed risky, but five years later the Lithuanians were still in the saddle.
“These motorcycles were our lucky card,” said Maj. Liutauras, the
Lithuanian commander in Zabul last summer, who, like many special
operators, prefers to be identified only by his first name.
The Lithuanians’ first patrols in armored vehicles, were repeatedly
ambushed by insurgents on motorcycles, he said.
“They were able to reorganize and hit us hard again and again,” he said.
So the Special Forces adapted. They acquired motocross bikes and set up a
training area in Lithuania to learn how to maneuver in rough terrain, jump
and chase down skilled enemy riders.
The Lithuanians’ speed on the motorcycles quickly allowed them to chase
down enemy observers and prevent ambushes. And the motorcycles were
too light to trigger many of the Taliban’s booby traps,
often set with heavy
springs that allow civilian traffic to pass unharmed but detonate when a
heavy armored vehicle passes.
“We are risking a lot but this risk is measured,” Liutauras said, adding
that his men often patrolled with just six bikes. “Our aggressiveness and
our tempo and advance to contact is always a win.”

See my point about how stu.pid most Nigerians are? This mo.ron did not read the whole write up in it's entirety. And if he did, he picked the ones he wanted to butter his argument.

I can think of a lot of uses (for motorcycles) but the person designing the force would have to make a decision about taking the risk of having someone exposed and using speed for protection versus the much more methodical approach of the heavy vehicle.”

This is an article about the LITHUANIAN army using this st.upid means of vehicular transportation to fight a war. The U.S army will always look for new ways to fight the enemy but will never trade in safety for speed or cost. When we deploy, we transport around in a stryker. The motto is, "death before dismount". There is no phucking way you get down from a place of protection and start prancing around exposed which is why our vehicles are heavily armoured. It is always a problem when you google and pick and choose what you want to help your argument. Show me anywhere where a successful army uses motor cycles to fight a war. No sane country does that.

You are hopelessly retarrded!

- Speed makes up for protection you m0ron. This is why SF's around the world use light vehicles. - speed, maneuverability, a small signature and situational
awareness are its armor.
