Ah it's a long story.

It's mostly fun as long as you don't take things to heart that much. There are all sorts of characters here.

I consider myself a student of life foremost and I've been able to accurately assess some characters here. In one case I was painfully proven right and I felt really bad about it. He suffers from a disorder. There are many like that here. Then there are some that are marvelously crazy. There are many scammers here too as is to be expected.

There aren't that many brains here, but there are some.

NL is a good resource if you know what you're doing.

I weep about some people thinking that its only in the catholic church this happens, it happens worldwide, in every institution or organization and foremost within family and friends context (!!!), the mechanism of covering up is universal human but deeply wrong.
I weep for everyone who knows about abuse and has not done everything in his/her power to protect and fight this.
I weep about the victims and their traumatized and damaged life foremost.

I weep about a country like Nigeria where the Child Righta Act is inadequate and allows "consensual sexual activity" with minors, where there is no proper enforcement system for child molesting and where the culture of shame, of covering up in the interest of the honor and name of the family and the value of the victim on the marriage market is more important than justice and protection of victims.

Instead of bashing others for what they did not do to protect children, let us unite forces to fight all sorts of abuse of children in Nigeria. Let the finger we point to institution be directed to our own state structures, to our own organizations, our own families...let us promote a zero-tolerance for whatever abuse of power over a minor.

I did not oppress anyone, Reyginus. I posted something for other atheists to read in an atheist chatbox and she replied in her trolling manner insulting my intelligence. Had she made a sensible comment focused on only the issue of abuse in catholic church, I would have replied her in a much nicer way.
