That's a typical yoruba marriage, the husband is supposed to be absent at the wedding then the inlaws will escort her to her husband's house he wldnt be at home either .... He comes back later in d day and "meet" with the wife ( o ma ba nle literally, he'l meet her at home)"at home" means being a virgin

If that's the case, i would rather prefer they cancel the payment of dowry and focus on the other payments and gifts to appease the bride's parents and relatives. The #25 payment makes no sense. I'm sure some families don't insist on it. Afterall, the bride gets nothing out of it. Who #25 don help

Yoruba kings don't beg, it's taboo. From experience, they don't even come out until everyone else has begged and dobaled at the engagement.

Bini bride price is N24. Bini brides are not supposed to be showing their teeth at their wedding. A proper Bini bride would cover her mouth with a handkerchief.
