I used to live in Maiduguri town in the 90s. Maiduguri roads then were smooth. It was a very quiet and serene place. No traffic, no hurrying, everyone quietly going about their normal business. Food was cheap! I loved Maiduguri so much then. If not for the harsh sun, cricket season and long distance to the place it would have been just perfect. Now when I read or watch news on Book haram's terror there, its heartbreaking  .2 Likes |
