The Bible is the story of Israel the woman/wife of God so any reference to any issues in the Bible is directly related to Israel, it is not to the whole world. In the Bible, whenever Israel offends God and He turns away from her or He becomes angry with her, Israel enters tribulation.

Deuteronomy 4:30
[size=13pt]When thou art in tribulation[/size], and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
Judges 10:14
Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
1 Samuel 10:19
And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands
1 Samuel 26:24
And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.

Israel (the Negroes) have been in tribulation for a long time. We have been enslaved by everyone, we were colonized, Negros were oppressed during Jim Crow, etc., everything that Israel or the Negroes have ever passed through is tribulations. Now we can see that Mathew is telling us that ‘immediately after the tribulation of those days…’ And Moses says ‘when thou art in tribulation…even in the latter days…’

Malachi 2:9
Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

Israel who was used to enjoyment was abased and debased by God due to our disobedience to Him, so we entered tribulation.

The sun the moon and the stars are all heavenly bodies, they are all situated in heaven, Heaven means rulership/leadership, so the fall of the sun moon and stars, the heavenly bodies mean that the leadership of heaven will fail. The powers of heaven will be shaken out of their places, meaning they will lose their bearing, the intelligence with which they are ruling the world will fail, they will become dumb. Joel 3:15. Israel also fell from heaven in Lamentations 2:1 Jeremiah 15:9

The Holy Spirit is the one that gives the wisdom knowledge and understanding to rule this world, Exodus 31:1-6. When He is taken away from the sun, moon and stars of this present world, they will all collapse i.e. their intelligence will fail.

2Thessalonians 2:7
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

He will be taken out of the way and there will be chaos, all the control and coordination mechanisms in the world will fail, United Nations, EU, ECOWAS, ASEAN, AU etc, they will all fail. World, continental, Regional, National, State, Local, ward governments, it will be total breakdown!

Chaos in the world, the Holy Spirit has departed!

3. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,

Then shall the sign of the son of man appear in heaven.
Heaven as it is used here means world leadership. Just to buttress the point that heaven means rulership/leadership, remember that in Lamentations 2:1 Israel was kicked out of heaven.

The heaven of this our present world is the feet of the image clay mixed with iron Daniel 2:33.

The head of gold is Babylon, his breast and arms of silver is Medio-Persia present day Iran, the belly and thighs of brass is Greece, the legs of iron is the Roman empire and the feet of clay and iron is the one in world leadership today.

Daniel 2:32
This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. 35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Isaiah 63:1-3
1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? The stone was cut out without hands, the vanquishing of the powers of heaven will not be by the hands of any man, it is God Himself, and ALONE that will do it. The sign of the son of man in heaven is revealed here: …He is red in apparel, he has trodden the winepress alone, none of the people was with Him: I tread them in anger, I trample them in my fury, and their blood shall be sprinkled on my garments. So there is the sign of the son of man in heaven, and it will cause mourning to all the tribes of the earth.
