So because I do not like the fact that the government haven't got their priorities right, I'm automatically a wailer?

I don't have light, does that make me a wailer?

Fuel is stil difficult to get, does saying that also make me a wailer?

Who then is not a wailer? Maybe those retarded paid sycophants who dare not say the truth on this thread. The day we crucify etnoreligious sentiments, we'll rebuild Nigeria. Until then, the country is rolling down on a steep slope to nowhere.

PDP, APC, kowa all of them don't give a damn abt the masses.

If one of them believe 1000 people can dress masquerades, another claim we'll start producing pencils in 2017, then this country apparently have no future.

.
The PDP is the biggest political scan in Africa.
When former President, Goodluck Jonathan saw that his Bayelsa state government has misappropriated the salaries of civil servants for months, he fled overseas and engaged PR agencies to arrange awards for him to distract public attention from the economic disaster he caused.

Why should signing a controversial budget be applauded?

APC's infighting and corruption padded, delayed, re-engineered and frustrated the budget until now.

Did PDP opposed the budget from day one? No, certainly not. How then is this national embarrassment worth celebrating?

Wonders they say, shall never end.
ur signature says it all

The PDP should have done better than its reaction to the signing of the budget. An opposition party must not be combative in its reaction to all issues. The party could simply have advised adequate implementation and the pitfalls to avoid. That is the way to play opposition politics. It isn't easy, but we will surely get used to it.

Really?
How come we didn't see all these reasoning and this kind of opposite you guys are talking about with APC.

Remember APC told their lawmakers to block the federal budget the other time because of amaechi.

thenationonlineng.net/apc-lawmakers-to-block-budget-ministers-approval/

Suddenly you guys don't want radical opposition. You want KOWA that cannot even issue a press statement on killings by Fulani herdsmen.

Wonderful.

Go through my posts and you would see which side of the divide that I belong to. The fact that the APC engaged in adversarial opposition doesn't mean the PDP should toe that path. There is a need to elevate our political discourse from the debased level of inter party strives and abuse to an exhilarating height where issues germane to the growth of the country dominate our discussions.

Humm... Could this be my kind of guy?

Alright. It is too simplistic to just for the sake of being unnecessarily principled to want the present opposition to behave like a political lamb when the present ruling party have no restraint in their actions. It's absolutely simple. I will not encourage that,

All politician are the same whether APC or PDP.
All politician want the same thing. The difference is the extent to which they want it.

Having said that, it is absolutely wrong if the present opposition won't show any form of verve in opposing the rulings party be it constructively or otherwise. The Standard have been raised. Politic is now so manipulative, it's now war and all is fair in war. Besides if they don't fight, they'll die. No two ways about it. Anyone who for any reason want the opposition weakened or diluted is most unpatriotic irrespective of what he or she says.

It is in this process that a brand of politics suitable for us will evolve. It is in this process that the electorate will get the little they can as there'll be no second chance to get it right.

It is grand hypocrisy of convenience for anyone to claim that the Apc should not be opposed at all because we want to elevate our political discuss. I don't agree. Not when gloating is allowed one year after an election. Not when leadership of convergence and inclusion is impossible. Not when there seem to be no good in the past only in an imaginary prospect. Not when the opposition must be vanquished at all cost, hence keeping just one choice for the electorate. That's evil. (just like kill your brother.. we have to kill him.. He is evil... I'm the only good one)... Sorry Sir, that move or thought is the danger.

For now, we most have a standing opposition that even if we don't vote for them, their presence will make the ruling party know they are indispensable.

We don't need a lame dock opposition party. We need a vibrant party with the FORCE, VOICE, NUISANCE VALUE And PATRIOTISM in our polity. If for any reason the kind of APC opposition was good before now, it remains good even now.

There in, lies the good. If we have a soft spot for any person, fine but know that that person is not going to be there for so long. So we should be dispassionate and keep our eyes only on the ball.

Thank you.

PDP has no shame at all. The idea of budget padding came to light because the new sheriff in town does not buy the idea of business as usual. Which is an indictment to their own reign. Does it mean that the budget was not padded when PDP was in power or the president then was so daft to do a thorough check of every details.
I believe that objective Nigerians knows that the latter was the case.
So it is very shameful for PDP to be blind in their approach to opposition.
No government has ever taken time to scrutinize the details of the budget line by line like this government has done. SO all the act of budget padding at the level of the ministries and house of assembly has gone unchecked.
I wish the law will allow those directly involved in padding the budget to be prosecuted and jailed.

Wooow! A very senseless approach from learned person like you, tell me which of the PDP budgets ever, exceed this your so called "time taken scrutinized budget"

The fact remains that APC government demands a cow for budget while PDP only go for a chicken... They revealed it all but

Tell me after all scrutiny, why is this budget still the highest budget ever. Evidence shows that the initial proposed budget by APC administration is way bigger, much higher and heavier than what was ever proposed by PDP, so PMB knew his administration would be called for questioning... that's why they do the adjustable.

Anyways, the budget is signed now so let's see what this government have in store for us.

I voted for change but was very disappointed with outcome. So are millions out there. But let's keep praying to see the change cos as for me, I see chains

The privileges we had under the so called most corrupt government, we can't even perceive anymore, Is it a crime to vote for change?

Only a daft like you who has benefited form the corrupt practices and processes of the past administration will complain of being denied "privileges" of the past administration.

However, the fact that the budget is the highest does not mean it contains nonsense, and the fact that it was low does not mean it is or was the best. Only a that will think otherwise.

At least there is direct /indirect public awareness for majority of the contents of the budget. It's left to you to decide if the weights of the projects or items budgeted for justifies the estimate.

Please be sensible and objective for once.
