Amanpour asked him about the proof of life video. She said that CNN showed it to the families of the missing girls and asked why the government didn't show it to the families.

Buhari said that he hasn't seen the video, but that he wouldn't want to show the video to the families even if he sees it because he doesn't want to raise their hopes without having something to show for it.

He said that he has met the families twice, once when they came to meet his wife and another time when they came to see him and that it was a heartbreaking experience for him. That he tried to imagine how he would feel if his 14-18 year old daughter was missing for years without anyone knowing what's happening to her. That he is sure that the families would prefer to see their graves than to be kept in that kind of limbo. He said that it's difficult for him to see the families. That the less of the families he sees, the better for his emotional balance because it's such a heartbreaking experience.

He also spoke about ghost workers and the huge number of ghost workers that were found on the payroll. Amanpour asked if he got rid of them, and he said that there was nothing to get rid off because the people do not exist.

He said that he ensured that the people who signed the vouchers are investigated and prosecuted.

Buhari is speaking English yet they are using subtitles. What a shame.

Lol. I guess you think that speaking English with an American or British accent is the height of achievement right?

That is because he's got a strong Hausa accent. Only kids would hold that against someone. An English man or an American might not understand some of the things he says, hence the subtitle.

Same is done for leaders around the world whose speech cary strong local accent.
