You probably felt nothing because you aren't a fervent watcher of the show.
I have watched from season 1 to season 6 (current episode). repeatedly over 3 times, so mehn you get attached to the characters.

Hodor never spoke another word, just kept repeating the same word all through the show, it's amazing how his death affected all viewers even more than honorable NED Stark.
Knowing George Martin, I believe he's trying to pass a subtle but powerful message with this.

Meanwhile, this season is boring and subpar. Can they kill off Arya already? I just feel like skipping her scenes whenever it comes on. Was feeling the same way with Bran's scenes and he proved utterly useless with this 'Hold the Door' episode.

Its 5 episodes already and nothing breath-taking, nothing to really make you look forward to the next episode.

How come no one is talking about the Greyjoys, funny folks. You kill a king, instead of being executed, you become king.
Was it that no one liked the late king or they hate the fact of having a Queen (I doubt cos I thought the shout for Yara was louder than the usurper and seeing the large fleet still still loyal to the "Queen Commander"

Are you sure its Game of thrones you are watching, and not Throne of games.
Not looking forward to the next episode? Come on!. So you dont want to know if bran escapes the night walkers? You are not excited seeing the whole dothraki herd united by danny? You won't care less if you finally see all three dragons free and outside the cave? You don't want to know if they queen would make her walk of shame(not cersie)? If that's all true, then I guess you also don't want to know if Sansa retakes winter fell or if Arya is indeed no one. Sure you don't want to confirm that suspicion of yours that R+L=J right?...right?!
If you're not enjoying the show, or rather, you don't understand it, you can try any other show. I heard Lost was straightforward...

During the initial stages of Bran's training with Bloodraven. The 3 eyed raven told Bran that he was in cave for a purpose, and one of that purpose was to change the future. The Night King marking Bran was bound to happen, otherwise Hodor won't be holding the door. Bran refused to adhere to the 3 eyed raven instructions and the original events actually occured. Many times the 3 eyed raven told him if he stays too much in warging he could sink. Had he listened the past and future would have been re-written.

Her scenes seems just perfunctory like the sands snakes'. What amount of physical training will turn puny Arya to a fighter. I expected her training to be in the art of stealth, face changing, disguise, using poisons etc.

Children of the forest (CotF) created the White Walkers (WW) because the first men were killing them and they were not few, so that had to make weapon out of men to defend themselves. But now the WW are enraged and gone rogue. Try have returned from the land of forever winter, the CotF are no march for them. Who will stop the dead? Dragonglass will kill them but is it enough? Bran is needed.

Yes it was. He just couldn't keep his hands to himself. After watching the episode, a little part of me wished the paralysis extended to his hands. 'You are not ready', said the three eyed raven(its bloodraven I think) but noooo, Bran has got to do what Bran has got to do.
