what's the maximum current of charging you have witnessed? If it has been a maximum of 11A, then it is not truly MMPT. However, if you have achieved a charging amperage above 11A (probably as high as 16A) , then I suppose it is truly MMPT.

Between, can you post a picture of your charge controller please? I'm looking to buy one soon.

Where in pH ?. The shop is at ogunabali, garrison side. The name of the shop is sunny best or you can also buy from simba solar too. Not sure of the smart charger, but there are other shops there or you can also check mile 1 side too.

this is not real mppt.. btw, there isnt much difference between mppt and PWM when using 1 panel.. mppt performs much better when u use panels above 400w.

I have this controller, it is not real mppt. These are cheap pwm that have mppt written on it.

oga its not an mppt.. the one i bought 8k with display and keys is even better than this. they merely wrote mppt on it. the cheapest 30amps mppt is about 50k and can never go for 17k even if na fairly used. for further clarifications read this..http://www.sustainablesolutions.co.nz/article/fake-mppt-controllers

to charge
200ah*12v= 2400wh/250w= 9.6hrs
to consume

Get a rechargeable fan, most of them have Dc inputs. Then get a suitable adaptor if you need it..you are good to go.

the most interesting thing this thread has taught me is power management. which will go along way in teaching us Nigerians to conserve.

Now before I buy anything am looking at the power consumption first even before price.

By the time Ikeja electric decide to behave and give us prepaid meters. My house power consumption will be lean.

each room now has 2 bulbs 20w(ikejaelectric) and 7w(inverter). so I switch.

Honestly speaking bro,

If i have excess money at the moment, i would simply set up a sophisticated solar system and wire it to every house in my system. Then using a system that calculates the power usage of each house, i would bill them much cheaper than NEPA does.

I can guarantee that before 12-18 months, i will recoup back the cost of the investment with huge profits on top.

Before long, people will begin to think towards solar system to get electricity. God, in His merciful nature, will continue to give us sunlight to power the systems, unlike our extremely wicked leaders that will deprive us of everything
