Op is not detailed enough, in which state of Nigeria is Mbaise?
You see, not every one is from the East, talk more of from Imo state.

The motive behind the tradition is good but it's an indirect way of allowing these girls to play away matches and giving those loose girls hope of marriage, at least to a female husband.

All those kids shouting its a lie, this is very reason you people should travel and learn what is happening elsewhere.

Back to business, the west with their sperm donor way of making babies/raising family is a rip off from Igbo culture. Igbos are open minded liberal and civil .

Thank God that you came through your parents
If you are black, you did not choose to
The brilliant ones did not choose to
These things are a lottery on our behalf and we accept them

I am not Igbo but I can understand the reason for this type of social engineering

It's done all over Igboland though I hope modernity will soon put an end to it. The onus of existence is not high population but quality of life. Over population is the reason Nigeria is where it is today. Our resources is growing in Arithmetic progression while the population is growing at Geometric progression.

It's a noble thing but it must stop. Say no to teenage pregnancy, early and forceful marriage and large families.

Teenage pregnancy is not the problem
Unwanted pregnancy and inability of women to inherit are the doubly coincident wants
and the primary cause is inability of women to inherit

My guyu did not read. If u did u did not comprehend. What has overpopulation got to do with such societal arrangement
