“Femi and the Gang” is one of the more popular Nigerian Sports Shows airing on Cool FM, Wazobia and Nigeria Info Networks and it was quite the surprise when the head of the gang Femi Obong-Daniels, tweeted the”sack”of 3 members of the team – Deji, Okon and Fiona.

Hours after he posted his tweets, Deji Faremi and Kelechi Nkoro (another ex-member of the team) opened up on twitter on what went down.

Saddest week of my career. Four of my 5-star generals suddenly gone. I know they'll never walk alone. Still it hurts⁠

@IamDemola_ Harsh times bro. Company had to downsize. We even had to take a pay cut earlier. Kelele then left on health & personal grounds.

@IamDemola_ We all knew the downsizing would still happen but no one knew it would be so soon or that it would affect 3 ppl at once.

Every department affected but from my team, the 3 were Fiona, Okon & Deji . Left the team demoralised & angry. Nkoro resigned the next day.

It now means more work for less people. Surely, the team will increase again once things normalise but this is the current painful reality.

As team head, I take the blame for who goes and who stays. It's an unfortunate job a head must do. Taking 3 ppl off a list of 7 is a killer.

Especially when each person is as good as 10. More so when you've kept the team that long & accomplished so much together with the audience.

Since Mr Femi Obong-Daniels has come out on Twitter to deceive the Fans....I will have to Clear the Air on why I resigned.

Nigeria's change agenda has been hard on everyone, so l understood it when the management of #CoolWazobiainfo said they wanted to downsize.

In fact, we have had to work on a paycut, just to make things normalise in the past, but to blame all this on just that are all lies.

In life, there is a limit to how much you can take from an individual, especially when the person keeps lying and cheating you.

I will just past and focus on the Final straw that broke the camels back.... #Goalfest....

I was at the #chan tournament in Rwanda, when l herd about the proposal a guy dropped for Goalfest partnership..My reaction was "Great idea"

I came back to Nigeria 2wks later & was told a percentage had been agreed with the team but not yet signed..that point..l felt all was well.

The next step was for the team to start publicity of the Event...Since it was what was asked of us Majorly... Meanwhile Oga had other plans.

Now...one of the agreement we had with the guy was that 2weeks to the event...The Gang will be paid....(the Beginning of the end for Fiona).

Fiona has always been the Mother figure, fighting that everyone gets what the deserve.I guess somebody felt threatened. They could not deal.

Now...it was two weeks to the event and we(gang) had seen no alert, so Fiona took it upon herself to push for our money....was that wrong?

With just a week to Goalfest....rumours started flying that Femi had used our money to get a Land Rover Black LR3 jeep. Boys no wan believe

Even when members of the team saw the Jeep....we laughed about it in disbelief....saying "Femi can't do this to us" Little did we know.

Now....Goalfest came and went.... still no money for boys, no word from oga.....on what is going on..... that was when the doubt set in.

After a week of wait.... Our weekly departmental meeting day came and for everyone, we said "Oga, go tell us the truth today or we go fight"

"The Meeting that broke Femi & the gang".... it started with Femi trying to Convince the gang that the money had not been paid....

.....that the LR3 land Rover Jeep was not bought with the gang's money....I must confess, we believed him.... don't blame us...he's d boss.

Femi even went further to persuade us not to keep quite when the guy came and ask for our money. Boys ginger saying "Ha! This guy go hear m"

After 1 hour of waiting.... "The Guy" showed up.... and the meeting took another turn... we all were angry and ready to tear the guy down..

The agurment was so heated up that one member of the gang had to even push the guy and almost punched the guy....it was hot...

Now..."The guy" had to be taken outside to cool him off...and in the mix up....Femi called off the meeting saying "This meeting is over"

Now Deji came out and said."If this meeting is over, then let all conclude that our money has been stolen"I guess that what "The guy" Heard

Next thing we saw...was a guy running back in with tears on his eye says "you all are calling me a thife, when l have paid Femi the money"

Yes...he said that...you are shocked? So was the gang members for 40 secs... with everyone looking at eachother...asking ourselves "what?"

To cut the long story short.... The guy paid Femi the agreed money and Femi bought a Jeep with the gang's money...

I never resigned from CoolFm because, the company wanted to downsize or forced my close friends to resign.......

I left because l could not take it anymore from Femi..His lies and Snake-like moves.. If You Know Kelechi Nkoro, then you will understand.

Fiona had to send him this....after he came on Twitter to form a pity party

If l can come on Radio and Criticise people when they do this.....then l should also be able to speak out, when it happens to me....

For all of you that say you have lost respect for me for doing this......Thank you....I had to speak out....

For those who understand the struggle.....I will be back on Radio and TV soon.....

I love this crew "FEMI AND THE GANG". Nigeria info fm gradually moving towards its nadir. Too bad! But for half or more of the gang to be on the same side of the coin, den I must say, FEMI u no try at all. Leadership is sacrifice, a good leader cares less of himself and more of members satisfaction (Dats selfless service). This is the more reason why I don't believe all these OAP's criticising govt up and down like dey are better. It takes more than being of quintessential qualities to be a good leader. I stopped believing people when I heard stories of a so-called brother in Christ in my NYSC days. All men have flaws but let people conceal ur flaws for you through ur act of selflessness. God make me a good servant and follower, in anticipation to being a good leader someday. NIGERIA GO BETA!
