I stand by comment that while u can get visa for Cc it hard especially at 34.... what advice you take is up to you .

Its easier to get visa through bsc or easiest masters based on your age (even though no visa is 100% sure) then if u don't have enough for tuition when you enter the USA transfer to CC if u are on the BSC path . (There nothing wrong with changing school )after entry. All the best

Actually any age can have any degree in US but when it comes to visa, the game is different.

Sure i agree not just USA , anywhere in the world. ...any age can start a degree even in naija u can write jamb at 60. The easy or lack of easy of Visa from Nigeria perspective na put comma in the journey ...

Regardless of what path easy or hard, VISA na baba God hand e dey .. May all those who desire it receive it

Hi guys,
If you are flying with Emirates from Lagos to Dubai to wherever place
you are going to in the US, EK 782 has been suspended from the
1st of July (The flight leaves Lagos around 9pm usually). EK 784, the other
flight leaves Lagos around 2pm.
You should contact either your travel agent to rebook you on the other flight or Emirates directly.
You can also be rebooked to EK 786 that leaves Nigeria from Abuja in the night.
You can follow Emirates on Facebook and send them messages via this medium.
This is how I resolved mine.

Good luck!

Oh ya.. You are right.
They sent me message via email that Itinerary change notification.. Instead to fly by 20:35, I will fly by 14:20..

That not true, getting a visa to a College is not hard it, its the same process as a Uni, truth is that it just rear many applicant chooses university over CC, so far the it accredited you'll be granted a visa..
I was at the educationUSA and I asked the VO that same question, he laughed at me and said where did you hear that from I said NL he just said are they the VO's to decide that, so far you prove you are a genuine student and provided the reason why you chose the school, you will be granted visa. then the Academic advisor added that after you get an associate degree from the CC you can transfer to a university to and get your bsc in 2yrs can you imagine "thousands of dollars you've just saved"? Don't just conclude like that maybe the few people you know that applied didn't get the visa but I know quite number of people who applied to CC and got their visas. undecided undecided

Smh.... gringringrin

The VO gave you ZOBO to drink but you can't reason about it that this ZOBO is too sweet and it will cause Jedi-Jedi and you didn't bother to ask the VO what are the age range of people that got their visa with CC and check statistics as well and see why people on this thread do advice applicant to apply for university but you are here posting the above bold statement.

If I am not wrong Lemme make you understand this simple thought, Check history of those who got their visa with cc, you will notice that majority are below 26 and they might have done poly/uni course before or started school late or the gap between their waec is not more that 5 years or they have a good travelling history and those who got it almost 30 and above are very rare and the percentage is 0.00000000000000001 out of 100%.

Also do you expect the VO to tell people who came for seminar at educationUsa that they shouldn't apply to CC? tell me how would they generate funds to pay bills, the last time I checked they are independent and they don't depend solely on revenue from their home country to run all the US embassies in each and every countries even though they get money from their FG the amount is very low. (I got to know this during the time their government was shutdown, I think obamacare bill or so)

I could remember a bros here above 30 years and he applied to a CC thrice even when I told him that the age is a barrier and he was denied even when he stated geninue reasons. We should not forget that they are not gullible and they don't know that some certain age who used student visa to enter USA don't have plans to school but mission to hustle, although people can go to school at any age but to get the visa with some certain age for CC is not easy..

With all these, there is nothing God can not do.

Are u say it would have been better if I apply for second degree in USA instead of the associate degree

Yes or better still wait till your result is out and apply for Msc.

You make a lot of sense bro. I may have to reconsider like u said. I haven't paid Sevis and visa fees yet. I don't know what the appointment form looks like. ..do I need to wait for my first degree result to come out first? And I dey look for awoof bro lol...if u know any other university that waive standardize test? NDSU used to...i have 3 people that got admitted & travelled there; and that's the problem.. I guess they stopped offering it when I'm about to lol. Thanks

Try and understand that what worked for Mr A can't not work for Mr B, even though it will work maybe repacking play a major role there..

Kindly do the right thing and don't rush because I am sure that when you get to USA you will come back to Nigeria until after 12 years.. gringringrin

No be small marking... cool

How can a VO say otherwise in the first place. CC under F1 visa is a category like any other so it would be given equal opportunity. If the VO says otherwise that can be termed as discriminatory and u cannot discriminate againt any visa category.

That been said there are face value to things (how many things are black and white ) other factors are always considered ....

Sure its possible to get under CC but u then do the maths based on your circumstances so that when you waka , ur waka go yield fruit

Good you got a window seat, or you might have been subjected to the dreaded middle seat like I almost once was. Little story about that.

Got on a flight from Lagos to New York about 10 years ago. Once on, I found myself wedged in a middle seat between a pretty Asian girl and a morbidly obese dude.

People hadn't completely boarded, and Mr. Yokozuna over here already ordered about 3 drinks and some stuff.
But I was thinking, Miss pretty girl by my side would be great for this 12 hour haul.

After stuffing his face with food, Yokozuna puts on his headphones and spreads into a comfortable position. This clown had pretty much occupied about 20% of my general space/seat. Like that wasn't bad enough, he starts snoring almost instantly.

Quietly, I looked at him, looked at Miss pretty young thing, then looked frantically around the cabin like a desperate student trying to copy someone's work.
Boom! I spot an empty window seat on the far right.

I made up my mind. Miss Pretty lady over here isn't worth being crushed to death by Yoko.
I got up and walked to an attendant who had noticed the less than comfortable spot I was earlier.
I told him I was switching to the window seat over there, and he immediately laughed, knowing exactly why.

My newly adopted window seat had no one in the middle seat, so a much more comfortable flight.

Good luck with your trip, and welcome to the home of the brave. cool
