Nihilist:

This exactly the point.

She made a decision that would turn out to be a poor one. She put her men under the leadership of an emotional and tactically indisciplined leader in Jon Snow.

If it wasn't for the Knights of the Vale, Jon wouldnt be alive today, and all the men would be dead! It's not leadership qualities that her poor men are following, they are obliged to maintain that master/servant relationship ...and I just dont understand why.

She's not the only one too. Tommen, Joffrey, and that boy from the Vale are all Children who don't know what the time is. Yet you had people blindly and unquestionably following the orders of these kids who don't even know what life is about.

Same way Napoleon, Moses, etc, and all effective commanders of yore, maintained order and extracted compliance...

"You will be shot"

In Jon's case, it was mostly self-preservation - at least for the free-folk.

GuyFawkes:
I d find it funny that people look at the show and see Daenerys as the hero of the show (or books for that matter). When you stop to think about it she is one of the stories main antagonists. She is about to invade a country and bring unspeakable death to its people....

Her reasons for invading Westeros are for power and revenge, not some noble cause. She once spoke of “breaking the wheel” by destroying the other noble houses in Westeros but still marches under the Targaryen banner, she has no interest of breaking the wheel, she just wants to be the only spoke left in the wheel.

I disagree entirely, if someone killed your parents and were about to kill you but luckily you escaped, and years after you still hear of plots and schemes to kill any living soul that carries your blood, I believe you would be very vindictive.

Daenery hates the concept of slaves, recall at Yunkai they offered her gold and sufficient ships for conquering westeros, but she refused, she was bent on freeing the slaves.

This shows a lot about her character, her liberation fight.

“Power is a curious thing, my lord. Perchance you have considered the riddle I posed you that day in the inn?”
“It has crossed my mind a time or two,” Tyrion admitted. “The king, the priest, the rich man who lives and who dies? Who will the swordsman obey? It’s a riddle without an answer, or rather, too many answers. All depends on the man with the sword.”
"And yet he is no one,” Varys said. “He has neither crown nor gold nor favor of the gods, only a piece of pointed steel.”
“That piece of steel is the power of life and death.”
“Just so... yet if it is the swordsmen who rule us in truth, why do we pretend our kings hold the power? Why should a strong man with a sword ever obey a child king like Joffrey, or a winesodden oaf like his father? “
“Because these child kings and drunken oafs can call other strong men, with other swords.” “Then these other swordsmen have the true power. Or do they? Whence came their swords? Why do they obey?” Varys smiled. “Some say knowledge is power. Some tell us that all power comes from the gods. Others say it derives from law. Yet that day on the steps of Baelor’s Sept, our godly High Septon and the lawful Queen Regent and your everso-knowledgeable servant were as powerless as any cobbler or cooper in the crowd. Who truly killed Eddard Stark do you think? Joffrey, who gave the command? Ser Ilyn Payne, who swung the sword? Or... another?” Tyrion cocked his head sideways. “Did you mean to answer your damned riddle, or only to make my head ache worse?”
Varys smiled. “Here, then. Power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less.” “So power is a mummer’s trick?”
“A shadow on the wall,” Varys murmured, “yet shadows can kill. And ofttimes a very small man can cast a very large shadow.”

That's my favorite conversation in the whole series.
But Nihilist isn't discussion about power, she's arguing if the girl is mature.

And you love cersei so much.
weyrey means "mad person". and I thought you're yoruba.

We can only decide if someone is dumb or smart base on the repercussion of their actions, if you remember Cersei is the one who brought the high sparrow to power to intimidate her enemies. she acted without weighting the consequences, she acted for only the joy of hurting others.
Being good at using violence doesn't make her smart.

on the scale of 10 i will rate he 8 below Sandor Clagane and hodor tongue

Jamie is cercei's twin but also her "valonqua" (forgive the mispelling cheesy) and prophecy says she dies by the hand of her valonqua and that's why she has been so fixated on killing tyrion forgetting that technically, jamie is also her younger brother so jamie's hand is the one that will kill her i think

I concur absolutely to this. Cercei is now the mad queen Jamie would be forced to delete to save the greater good. Once the dragons touch down on westeros, Jamie would be forced to also believe in the myth of white walkers.

INTERPRETATION OF THE EXCHANGED GLANCES BETWEEN LF AND SANSA AT JON SNOW'S UNEXPECTED CORONATION

Now recall when LF made his indecent proposal to Sansa which she demurely declined (like a naija girl doing initial gra gra IMO)? She even stopped his attempt at kissing her for good measure. LF said something, he told her that:

"News of this battle (Battle Of The Bastards) will spread quickly through the seven kingdoms. I've declared for House Stark for all to hear."

"You've declared for other houses before Lord Baelish, it's never stopped you from serving yourself," Sansa replied.

"The past is gone for good, you can sit here mourning its departure or you'll prepare for the future. You, my love, ARE THE FUTURE OF HOUSE STARK. Who should the North rally behind, true born daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark born here at Winterfell, or a motherless bastard born in the south?"

Sansa walks away in righteous indignation without so much as a second glance at LF. But here is what LF did right; HE SOWED A SEED. HE PLANTED AN IDEA IN A MIND THAT IS ONLY BEGINNING TO FIND ITSELF.

Sansa was truly happy for Jon Snow when the North declared him as the King In The North, but at that moment she remembered the question LF had asked her as she walked away:

"Who should the North rally behind, true born daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark born here at Winterfell, or a motherless bastard born in the south?"

LF is a master of seduction.

Sansa isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she now is. And this isn't about her marrying LF (which is still very much a possibility given her innate fragility). This is about her feelings toward Jon Snow now that he has been proclaimed King of the North, and what she intends to do about it.

She's not mature.
She's a child.

She lacks diplomacy and tact, and speaks too openlu because...well, she's a child.

Take her decision to back Jon Snow from the onset, for example. That was a very daft and tactically naive decision. All the other Lords of the north who could see the play knew that Jon Snow did not have the men and political goodwill to take on Ramsay...and they were right to abstain.

The vast majority of Snow's men were butchered.I wonder how many of the Mormonts survived that battle. If not for the Knights of the Vale, which that kid did not know about when risking her innocent men's lives, Jon snow and his men would be dead...and the Mormonts would have a target painted on their backsides.

The only reason her men listen to her is out of an obligation to maintain the servant -lord/lady relationship. I'm just baffled as to why.

Do you not have a shred of honor?

They were obligated to answer the call. If they had, it would have increased Jon's chances.

We know no king than the king in the north whose name is stark.

Book Dany's birth of dragons was a one time thing. A miracle, something that never happened before. The rebirth of magic(or was that the Others). And she does get burnt in ADWD. It is known from her inner monologue.
Drogon roared. The sound filled the pit. A
furnace wind engulfed her. The dragon’s long
scaled neck stretched toward her. When his
mouth opened, she could see bits of broken
bone and charred flesh between his black
teeth. His eyes were molten. I am looking into
hell, but I dare not look away. She had never
been so certain of anything. If I run from him,
he will burn me and devour me.
And later...
Her skin was pink and tender, and a pale milky
fluid was leaking from her cracked palms, but
her burns were healing.
P.S- This is not show Dany. Show Dany is immune to fire.

The Iron Islands are on the West of Westeros, while Meeren is far East to the South East of Essos, its farther than the distance between the Wall and the Reach which is just down south of Westeros. I guess we can ignore timelines, since that would mean more screentime.

Guy, GoT is a great show but their time travel is shit. For example look at Sam's journey, had it been that they have more roles for him, he could have arrived the Citadel library since episode 3, but they delayed his arc because no real story on his journey. The fact is since season 6 they start placing characters were they need to be not accounting for travel time. We all saw the long journey Brienne and Podrick undergo to reach the north, what about when Varys and Tyrion were traveling to locate Daenarys. But season they just drop characters were they need to be, doesn't matter tge location, whether its far or near.

Like someone else said, do you want them to be putting 3 months later? This is a show not a film, different arcs may or may not occur in different timeframes. It's just the way it is.

Also, does it matter? So far you can understand. I mean, were you really thinking the battle of bastards took 20minutes? Or varys traveled from dorne to mereen in 2 minutes?

It's just one of those things we have to ignore.

Also, in Sam's case, you can use the baby as a frame of reference , that's what i did.

That's the mistake you're making. Events across Westeros aren't happening simultaneously, perhaps not even sequentially. If you've read A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons, you'd know that.
While I won't deny that there are statistical differences, with the scope of the show, it's the only way.

Let's put it this way: Game of Thrones is objectively the greatest tv show ever. Only Breaking Bad comes close. If GoT is a 10/10, The Originals is probably a 6.5. I rate shows like Supernatural at an 8 or so; the first five seasons, at least.

The two books happen chronologically. With a Feast focusing on characters in Dorne, Braavos, King's Landing and the Iron Islands, and a Dance focusing on characters in the North, the Wall, Slaver's Bay and Essos. A guy came up with a boiled leather format to reading the two books at the same time. I do agree on their timeline being the only way their story will work.

That's the entire point of A Song of Ice and Fire. It's realistic. The fact that you have a plan doesn't mean your plan will come to fruition. Shii happens in life.

That rose she drew was just to tell Olenna that she has a plan. It's the House Tyrell symbol.
