Gud de my e-family, I got mail from my school today, that the last date to provide acceptance, financial documents and evidence of payment was 17/06/2016 and it is now considered too late to process applications for Semester 2 2016, I also got mail from them 22/06/2016 that they reminded me to pay my tuition fee, but why they reminded m to pay when the last date of payment was closed?
am feeling bad because I paid my school fee last week with black market with rate of #345 NAIRA to $1 USD and total amount $10,625 USD, and am forced to defer my admission due to my payment was late, and I was trying to pay it earlier but with government policy was not successful with FORM A until I went through black market, all I was hoping for is to get my COE tomorrow and summit my application file tomorrow in teleperformance don't Knw I will receive bad news from them, Plz if any body Knw about new rules of Australia migration update m thanks

I had a cgpa lower than yours after my undergraduate program now looking forward to my visa grant by the grace of God. Please register with PFL, they will make a lot of stages easier to cross. It cost 100k to register and get a counselor to guide you through the processes. If you are worried about the right school and course to study, you will be guided. If you live in Abuja or surrounding states i can give you my counselor's number for further inquiries
rudyislife:
Good morning people I am new here,I want to make inquiries,I would like to apply for masters in Australia,I want to know if they are schools that accept second class lower(Cgpa 3.46),also I want to know if they would require an application fee ,and if it is also possible to use my cousin accout as sponsor for visa application. Thanks.

Hey house
Just wanted to share my success story and give some encouragement
So i am just about to enter the final semester of my MSc and have just landed a job at the largest oil and gas company in Australia
This job has taken all my worries away as they are also sponsoring me for PR.
How did i do it? First of all, study as hard as hell. Yea, i came top 2% or so in my class.
Secondly, use the career services department in any school you are going to. Yea, as soon as you arrive, find where the career services dept in your school is and find out and use any and every service they have. Its free while you are a student, use them HARD!!!
Thirdly, this advice may sound corny to people who have experience before coming here (i had 8years banking experience too from Nigeria) but target graduate programs to get this kind of PR gig i got.
See what happens is companies that take you into their grad programs have an obligation to keep you till the end of it. And most grad programs are longer than your post study visa. The compromise therefore would be to apply for PR for you. And if the company is as large or as good as mine, their grad program would pay more than most regular jobs in Australia anyways.
Anyways congrats to all of you who just got their study visa, its a long road but you got this wink

Congratulations bro. This is what malkinburg was talking to me about. All those coming over keep your head down, focus on achieving your set goals. Once you step out of Naija it's a different ball game all together. Goodluck.

Apologies to everyone who PM'd me, I only just saw the notifications as I had not logged in my profile in ages.

gunpoint - good on you bro. These are the kind on inspirational news I love to read.

AlvinKem - you know there is nothing as annoying as the way you type right? For F sake, you are coming to Australia to study. I do not know your level of education but I would like to think that you have completed secondary education at least.

Ayaboyo:
Hello all. This is my 9 month update.
We left Naija on the 30th of April 2015 via dubai courtesy IOM and arrived Melbourne on the 2nd of May 2015. We met Mayofikky another nairalander and her Family at the Airport. They were enroute Adelaide.
Got called for an Interview for a job I applied for while still in Naija on day 5. Two interviews and lots of phone calls to Naija for reference check, was told i was successful on day 10.
Started working on day 16th. Registered Son for Kinder . Meanwhile we went for a regional job fair on day two . We also did our centrelink and bank paperworks.

Salary is paid forthrightly for most people. We started house hunting towards the end of the month as agent needed reference from work and payslip as part of paperwork for character reference for house. We even got additional letter from our pastor. The fact that you have your money doesn't influence your getting a house. It your credit history and character reference that is key.

We moved from our friend's house who hosted us to a house a month after arrival. We were considered lucky as our host did not get a house for 6 months due to inability to quickly get a job.
Hubby started his masters at Unimelb in the 3rd month, so both kids being under 5 , started full-time daycare i.e $400 per week after govt rebate.

Luckily he got a job a job in a near entry role in his field after 4 months.Half bread is better than none.
We reviewed our finances and my commute time and family life balance. We decided I should start applying for part time jobs.
Luckily I applied and got a job for which over 2500 people applied. I was oneof the lucky 90 employed.
Less commute, half of the working hours of my previous job and same pay. It was a divine provision.

Lessons :God's grace and favor is key. You also need to be computer savvy. You are going to use the computer for everything including knowing where to get bus, train, food ,apply for job, benefits even house.
Police here are armed to the teeth, no sme sme.
Passing your driver test is more stressful than waiting for visa grant mail.
Australian meals are delicious, be prepared to change your palate.
Centrelink are slow to give but very swift to retrieve.
Aboo mi re oòo.

Sorry for the delay. You could have been able to claim transport manager but you just registered the company this year. You need evidence of a year.

Can you provide evidence of income running the transport company prior to registering it? If you worked for someone who runs a transport company, it will be easier.

What is your wife's qualification?
