Hello House,

A friend is on a hot seat , Please urgent advice is needed

He applied for study permit on June 3rd ( paper route )

Got medical mail June 30

Did medical at IOM July 5.

He tracked is application yesterday ( July 22 ) , This is what he was on VFS tracking platform

Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office ACCRA , on 20/07/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website

Since then he has not gotten any mail to that effect.

Does it mean he has been denied or what or paper route hardly get confirmation mail like online application ?

He studied CSC as an undergraduate and going for Msc in CSC as well

Kindly assist

Maybe he should try linking the application online. I pray it's an approval. He should also check his spam messages. I have read on nairaland several times that some people get approval mail much later. It is well IJN. Amen

Got my medical passed update and passport request this morning. Dropped my passport at vfs this afternoon.
Below is my timeline.

Applied Online: 25th April
Biometrics: 26th April
Medical mail: 15th July
Medical done: 19th July
Medical Passed and Passport Request: 22nd July

IMM Forms (Study permit, family information, temporary residence, Study permit questionnaire)
Employment letter
SOP
NYSC certificate
Birth certificate and baptismal card (to show a change in my middle name)
WASSCE
CV
Transcripts
Proficiency in English language
Proof of first degree.
Tax clearance and work ID.
Conditional admission letter and mails from the school stating I have satisfied the conditions, but they don't send updated admission letters. (They needed my official transcripts and original BSc certificate)

Sponsors (Parents)
Mother : International passport data page
UK visa
Bank statements of 2m balance
Cooperative letter of introduction
Letter of introduction from employer.
Letter of sponsorship
Payslip
Employment letter (in her maiden name), change of name acknowledgment from employer and marriage certificate.
Vice principal appointment letter.
Letter of recommendation from employer.
Promotion letter
Affidavit of sponsorship.

Father:
Letter of sponsorship
Affidavit of sponsorship
Fixed deposit certificate of 3.5m
Letter of introduction from employer
Bank statement of 1.4m balance
Land receipt
Land survey plans
Land use charge
Utility bills
Pension statement
Promotion letter
International passport data page
Valid US visa, SA and UK visa.

I made a mistake on my family information form (inputted my siblings names under children) which I noticed, sent a case enquiry and the response was to send a mail to Accra immigration.
Also, I sent two case enquiries when my application was over 10 weeks. Got a response today...lol

My mum's inflow came in from her cooperative society, hence the letter to prevent sudden inflow suspicion.
I was denied UK visa in November and I stated it clearly on the IMM 1294.

I applied in the comfort of my bedroom. Got a lot of information from nairaland before applying.

To fellow TRV hopefuls, don't despair; We didn't come this far to only come this far.

The wait was terrible, once I begin to lose hope, I say to myself I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth to clear any negative thoughts.

It shall all end in praise.
Congrats.

Greetings to everyone in the house.

I need your assistance with a few details that I require for visa application.

I studied biochemistry in my UG and have been offered an MSc admission in pharmacy plus a scholarship worth $16000.

I am still a serving Corp member and I will be leaving before the end of service.

I need advice on which occupation to fill in during my application.

I will also appreciate any advice that will further highlight steps to having a successful application.

Kindly reply if you have suggestions.

Present activity/occupation fill National Youth Service.

Name of organisation fill the name of your ppa.

Your program commences by September right? If that's correct then I think your application may be too late. You should probably defer your admission. The current processing time for Canadian visa for Nigeria is 13 weeks.

Just a suggestion.

Good morning guys, please how long does it take to receive acceptance letter in Nigeria from Brandon University? My younger bro just got accepted yesterday and we got a mail that it has been dispatched.

Secondly, what should be the next step? What and what can he do while we wait for the acceptance letter?

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Bricksonline: 10:55am On Jul 23, 2016
My application was simply 'Application for a study permit' I carefully explained my SOP and clarified any necessary doubt so in my opinion it depends on the heading of your letter.
Chebe01:

On the contrary @penitential, @uchethalial101 is very correct in my opinion. An LOE should be used to explain any complications or discrepancies in someone's application. An SOP on the other hand should explain your "statement of purpose" and here you can tell your story if need be. From my understanding, @uchethalial101 is not discouraging anyone from using either or both forms of letter but is contributing an observation so that people would not muddle the two up. If there are fields within the application form which give one an opportunity to state his purpose of application, why then should one write another SOP?

Hello Guys,

I applied for a study permit (Online) on February 22 to resume this April (University of Manitoba) but got delayed. I have however deferred my resumption to September 2016.

I am married with 2 children with over 8 years work experience in the Banking sector. I paid the total tuition fee as well as have additional USD 18K in my domiciliary account for upkeep and another NGN 6m in my personal savings account.

I am currently in Canada on Vacation (Second visit) with my family.

I will like to know my chances of getting the study permit approved and if/ How I can forward the confirmation of my resumption deferral to the VO.

Regards,

Tainzo.

A friend of mine received the attached pix(letter) from CIC yesterday. They told him the bank statement(his sister) he provided was fraudulent. He was given 7days to explain or his application will be assessed based on the documents he submitted, which is likely to be refused..

HOW CAN HE TACKLE THIS COS HE SAID HIS SISTER TOLD HIM THE ACCOUNT IS GENUINE

All the best in your endeavours!

Bro No1 knows what transpired between your friend and his sister and the bank statement.your friend and the sister should imperatively answer this question.if an agent was involved in his application, they should hold him too if they aint guilty of this. Moreover CIC has made their verification before writing to your friend and each person knows the kind of documents submitted and how he/she went about them.so let them sort this out and if they are guilty of such they are left with no option than to face CIC music.

He didn't use a representative.. Although, I have told him to go to the bank with his sister in order to have an idea of what really went wrong.

Very simple. Get a letter from the bank confirming that the statement is genuine (if it really is). Otherwise, your friend may have a problem EVER getting a visa to Canada or the US.

For someone who intend to do upfront medical, is the person meant to do it after submitting applications online or before biometrics? Please I need your answer ASAP. Thanks

BEFORE submiting your online application.
The Document you're given after the medicals will have to be uploaded to your online application.

Except you're looking to gain admission into law schools abroad.....I doubt if LSAT is relevant here in Nigeria. I haven't actually taken the exam itself but I have attempted the samples of the exam. I downloaded online.
