Good morning guys, please how long does it take to receive acceptance letter in Nigeria from Brandon University? My younger bro just got accepted yesterday and we got a mail that it has been dispatched.

Secondly, what should be the next step? What and what can he do while we wait for the acceptance letter?

Very simple. Get a letter from the bank confirming that the statement is genuine (if it really is). Otherwise, your friend may have a problem EVER getting a visa to Canada or the US.

Most of my friends didn't submit this reference letter from their bank and still such kind of issue never raised,but this Reference letter is important for whoever that is submitting any bank statement.But if the bank statement is genuine,ur advise so far is simple as you have said.but in my opinion before CIC could call it FRAUDULENT,they must have done their verification by contacting the bank or otherwise..

They noted that dat it wud get 2 me in minimum of eight to ten weeks.please i dnt knw if it wud be possible for me to have an upfront medicals while i await d arrival of d acceptance letter so atleast to enable me speed up my application process.

Hi..I have searched and searched for universities in canada that accept 2.2 for masters but till now I still can't find one.my cgpa is similar to yours (2.89) but after WES evaluation,my recommended cgpa was 3.17/4.0 for my last 2years results.I graduated 2015 hence I have no experience.what do you think I should do or can you recommend a uni that accept 2.2?

Sorry to take you guys back but im just seeing this argument about cgpa and Masters programme. I have an MBA admission from Laurentian Uni. Undergradute course Agric Econs. Cgpa was 2.85. but after WES evaluation, my recommended Cpga was 3.02 maybe bc it was a 5yr programme. Although I do have a lot of work experience abt 10yrs. I guess that was the positive thing. But then in my offer letter, the uni packed so many foundational business courses that I have to do alongside the MBA which has made my credit load so much. Even though I indicated in my SOP that I've done some mgt prof course. I guess they only consider undergraduate course, not any of these our naija proff courses.
Well my argument is that less than 2.9 can get Master admission in canada, in some circumstance. I may change when i get my TRV to another sch since all those course credit load has made it very expensive. Thnaks

I need your assistance with a few details that I require for visa application.

I studied biochemistry in my UG and have been offered an MSc admission in pharmacy plus a scholarship worth $16000.

I am still a serving Corp member and I will be leaving before the end of service.

I need advice on which occupation to fill in during my application.

I will also appreciate any advice that will further highlight steps to having a successful application.

Kindly reply if you have suggestions.

House assist on which way to go..I submitted my apps on April 6th and after bio metrics no update to my application till now.

I mailed LAGOS n ACCRA but response I got from them was my request has been forwarded to appropriate dept and they will contact me if need be....... suggestions please....

Why don't you request for the softcopy of the admission letter...What if Canada post should strike, weti you go do? Send an email to them explaining to them that you need it to process visa and stating the visa application duration is 14weeks (abi you dey apply from US..LOL) expect your admission is for FALL 2017, you can wait for 2 months for the arrival of your admission letter.

Try and get the softcopy of the admission letter before CIC change their processing time to 16weeks...LOL
