the main decisive factor for winning a war between france and algeria will be the defence industry, which ever country will be able to replace the attrition loses quickly and in a sustained manner will win the war.

and why are we even discussing a war between france and algeria, arent these two countries buddies?

It is primarily because of French difficulties in transporting gear/equipment/men to Mali, that's why i'm saying specifically in a war between Algeria and France(excluding NATO), French forces would be beaten back well. Even the French only re-joined NATO 13 years ago, who says they won't leave again.

What can the French deploy against Algeria, that the Algerians won't be able to counter. The Algerians are no common militants in Mali and they have the experience of previously fighting the French, they would match the French fighter for fighter and already poses more Tanks than the French.

Do you think the Algerians would seat back and watch the French build up a military presence on their borders, won't happen. Algerian military doctrine only revolves around protecting Algeria and nothing else.

Nonsensical.

If France goes to war NATO goes as well. What-if's are irrelevant. Tailor making the engagement (only france! no NATO!) is fantasy.

Which is the reality of the world right now and is why what Mike is saying is correct.

But lets entertain your idea for a second... France has more Rafaels than Algeria has fighter aircraft. And that is excluding the 200 other Mirages that France has.

Second, France operates the Storm Shadow both for its Rafael and for its Navy, nearly 1000 of them. Storm shadow has a range of 500km (air) and 1000km (naval), best S300 missiles, the 40N6, has a range of 400km.

What does this mean?

France will allmost definitly achieve air-superiority and then proceed to shuttel-bomb Algerian air-defences from stand-off distances. Once their systems are degraded, they will then proceed to plaster Algerian ground formations into peices and then its just a matter of ground forces mopping up.

This is very rough and casual, but you get the idea right?

Here they are, atleast the ones i know of. The guys from the Air Force Regiment are wearing the black version of Photos 2 & 3, while i haven't yet spotted Photo 4 (which looks more tactical) with any soldier yet.

There's the "total" version that comes a backpack.

You got to give it to the Chadians, they kicked prime as$ in Mali. In a particular engagement, 26 Chadians were killed, while the finished off 90 militants and arrested 50.

We really need to replace our Alpha jets. Decent deployment to Port-Harcourt. 3 attack helicopters, 2 light utility helicopters, 1 ISR and 2 light attack jets.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Christopher McCarthy, HH-60G helicopter evaluator pilot, 56th Rescue Squadron, observes Kenyan Defense Force members during African Partnership Flight Kenya June 27, 2016 at Laikipia Air Base, Kenya. The APF is designed for U.S. and African partner nations to work together in a learning environment to help build expertise and professional knowledge and skills. The APF included a Kenyan-led exercise, Linda Rhino, in which instructors observed the application of what was learned in the classroom and provided feedback. The exercise included multiple personnel recovery scenarios. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Evelyn Chavez/Released)

I was thinking we should give our mbb339 to the company that made them in turn of at least 6 of the evil twin of the yak130

Nice beautiful boat for Senegal, at 58 meters, it's a decent size for a small sea going OPV, however it's a little to large for littoral Patrol and not big enough for proper ocean going. Anyway they won't need to patrol far into sea while smaller 10 - 25 meters boats can patrol inshore.

Brings us to Nigeria, Vessels like the OPV 190 could represent a decent acquisition for the Navy instead of only investing in large OPVs. At 58 meters, local Nigerian boat builders could task themselves and build it, Instead of only concentrating on small boat and interceptor builds.

58 meters isn't a significant size.
exactly o..something like dz
but I think the NN likes opvs that inspire the fear of God in pirates sha

if we Start building dz...soon we'll get a deal to supply a country in west africa

The long range OPVs make sense as many of your neighbours lack the capability to patrol their.

we more than really, we desperately need to replace them, they can be used strictly as trainers, form some kind of aerobatic display team or even retire them completely.

The planes are already in Italy, they've been there for the past 8years or so. They are currently stuck in Italy due to a pending court order resulting from a contractual dispute.

I don't know what to say, but with BVN, CBN would be able to track the individual owners of the account.

The bank is also mandated to report to the CBN transactions above $50,000 Cooperate and $10,000 individual. So if this report is true, and guidelines followed as stipulated our government knows much more than is reported.

With BVN no individual is hidden, it is impossible.
