Akorkor thanks for nominating yourself for the prayers, God bless you and yours

Congrats to udoomama, juliebest, Fortius, adeime that have offloaded. God bless and keep your bundles of joy. @ olamitie, you will not miscarry in Jesus name, just give your husband some time and pray everything turns out well so he can come around. @ fabmummy, the Lord will protect your sister and the baby in her womb. @ liftedhands, your SIL is really blessed, three at once? Wow!

Team December how market? Let's try to celebrate the halfway milestone with our DHs. I'm sure some of us have hit the 20 week mark, how time flies! It can only be God. Appetite back on track now? Let's go easy on junk food and pump our systems with more healthy foods.

If you have not started planning what, how and where to shop, now is the time to do so. If you will like to find out your baby's gender, it just might make your shopping easier and decorating the nursery more fun. Now that our energy levels are still at its peak, we can make good use of this time to plan and buy what we need. Check Zaynie's post on page 2004 and a past post from Iomoge2. Will see if I can dig it up. Let's remember that in a couple of weeks' time (5-7), 2nd trimester will be over so what you have to do, do quick! May God supply all we need.

Don't let us forget our prenatal vitamins, they are essential at this stage. Let's get enough rest, drink plenty of fluids as baby's position will soon start making us pee often, that's if that has not started already so no room for dehydration. And don't let us forget the place of prayers. Get DH to lay hands on your tummy and pray for you, depending on your faith/religion, he can even annoint you.

If there's anything you feel uncomfortable with that gives you concern, maybe a symptom that's strange, do not hesitate to speak to your medical personnel. That's why they are there and you pay them for their services. All will be well with us by Gods grace.

May the remaining part of the journey be stress free and may our deliveries be easier than we envisaged. Nothing is impossible for our God to do.

God be with us all

Please register in Federal staff Jabi cos they are way better and with enough hands. The Gwarimpa hospital is actually a smaller hospital even though they are very good in maternity. Your hubby is even talking from experience. I did my antenatal in Gwarimpa even though I didn't have any plan whatsoever to deliver there, it was strictly for antenatal cos I also had a stress free preggy. it was closer to me even though I also went to jabi for first registration but never went back.
So go to FSH jabi and register.
BTW I tot you only came in to Abj for short visit?
please is airport road same as jabi? Abi there's another FSH? My dear we did not plan it o.My father in law just came and fell inlove with abuja and decided to get a house here. Am even here vexing sef because I can't go back to calabar again due to my condition because have been down in health. so they are packing my things for me and you can imagine how they will misplace my things as I no dey there na.

Yes it's same jabi/airport road.
Heiya, that your father in law knows whatsup. You see Abuja finish, na em you wan go back to calabar grin. Abeg chill here and enjoy the cool atmosphere, grin
Just call the specific person that will pack your things an tell him/her how to pack them, he should keep the tiny things like jewelries separate and safe, clothes separate, shoes separate but if you pple are still going to retain the calabar house and go back later, he can pick just the things you will need till you go back. Sorry about your health, hope you are getting better?

I follow this sweet family just to learn and know what to expect when I finally get to where you all are. Asides the main course of the thread, I've also learnt all the extra lessons given in this great place.

I'm not even married yet not to talk of having a baby but I just see this thread as a family united as one which I know I'd join one day.

Thanks and God bless

@ tipsyjules , there are great hospitals in Abuja. Depends on how you are ready to spend. Had my two kids at Nisa premier and Arewa clinics both at Jabi. Both were great but get ready to spend cash.
That year , i paid 100k for antenatal + 100k VD + additional expenses that came up later. I didn't have any episiotomy nor any complications whatsoever. I don't know about the price now at Nisa Premier. This was in 2010.
I decided to give Arewa clinic a trial but still spend money sha. Over 300k for antenatal and VD. No complications at all but had episiotomy.
Both hospitals were great but ....
Had my evacuation at Federal staff hospital, service was okay, fair price and plenty equipment and hospital looks modern.
For this pregnancy, feeling like an old customer and kinda have idea on what to expect. Told myself, i am not going to spend such amount when you will labour and deliver by yourself. I registered at Maitama general hospital, so far it's been great but the crowd no be here as you have to be there by 5am inorder not to spend a greater part of your day there.
For me , antenatal and delivery fees is like free for me. So i stick with this one though hubby is still contesting.
Garki hospital is good too. Have friends who have delivered there. So make your choice.
Welcome to Abuja. Spend sometime and you won't like to live anywhere else. Trust me.
