BREAKDOWN OF FEDERAL ALLOCATION TO THE VARIOUS STATES FOR THE MONTH OF JULY
2016 BY FAAC: Thirty-six states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, collectively smiled home in the month of July when they pocketed a whopping
#673.324billion as their share of statutory allocation and first tranche of the excess crude earnings distribution for the period.

This was revealed in a document from the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation titled: Distribution of Statutory Allocation and Excess
Crude Proceeds to the three tiers of Government in July 2016, a copy of which THISDAY got yesterday. The report showed that five of the states: Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Kano, catapulted themselves to the two-digits wrung with each carting home between #10billion and #25billion . Leading the pack,

Rivers state got a grand total of #25,883billion which is made up of #10.138billion from 13 per cent derivation, #12.803billion from excess crude, #1.39billion from statutory allocation and another #1.5billion excess crude for local
governments in the state. Similarly,

[ Bayelsa state received #7.97billion from the 13 per cent derivation account as well as #10billion from
excess crude account. The state also had its accounts credited to the tune of #538million for its councils and another #597.7million excess crude for the same councils in the state. In total, the state smiled home with a whooping grand total of
(#19,197,410,863.92.)

In the same vein, Delta State which garnered a
total of #18.622billion, had its share broken down thus: 13 per cent derivation #6.977billion; excess crude #8.734billion; statutory allocation for local governments #1.379billion and excess crude distribution to the councils #1.531billion. According to finance ministry officials, what is being paid as proceeds of the difference between the budgeted volume short fall from a current Niger Delta situation where Nigeria is only producing about 2 million barrels of crude oil per day instead of the OPEC allocation of 2.5 barrels per day matched against excess earnings of over 70 dollars per barrel when the budgeted reference price is 35 dollars. THISDAY checks reveal that this is the first of such payments as states will continue to enjoy this windfall over the next several months. The fourth highest beneficiary and another oil producing state of the Niger Delta,

Akwa Ibom, has its breakdown as follows: statutory allocation #6.458billion, excess crude distribution #8.065billion, statutory
allocations for state councils #1.569billion while the excess crude account for councils was credited with a whopping #1.738billion. In total, the state got #17,831,804,082.85.

The only non-
oil producing state that garnered over #10billion was Kano. It got #10.776billion and was distributed as follows: statutory allocation
#2.44billion; excess crude #2.7billion, statutory allocation for its 44 councils, #2.669billion and
excess crude to same accounted for
#2.959billion.
Conversely, the FCT, Gombe, Ebonyi, Nasarawa and Ekiti States went home with the least allocations of between #673.3million and #4billion . While the document
further showed that the

FCT got its accounts credited to the tune of #673.324million,

Gombe State became richer with #4.435billion lumped into its accounts. Similarly,

Nasarawa and Ekiti States received
#4.508billion and #4.732billion respectively.
Other states which also got huge amounts from the distribution include
Ondo with #9,060,035,806.15,
Lagos state got #8,299,806,965.06,
Kaduna state got #7,654,995,396.83,
Imo state got #7,366,417,410.84,
Borno state got #7,276,602,098.96,
Niger state got #7,151,791,231.47,
Jigawa state got #7,048,660,361.35.

This early hours of this evening. The breaking News we got on air is that, His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers state stated that no civil servant is being owned salary. He said that all civil servants have been paid, that those that have not been paid have not done the "Almighty Biometrics". So,my fellow teachers, how do we react to this issue? Is it assumed that every civil servant, including us,have received salaries till date?

In the Morning, News had it that the new TUC chairman said he'll find out why most of us have not received salaries up to date after the biometric exercise. He continued his statement by saying that the "so-called exercise" has no timeline.

In this case, how are we going to air our plights before this present government? From what I am seeing right now, technically, no civil servant is being owned.I may be wrong, but I need someone to analyse this findings.

He still repeated it this Morning that he is not owning any civil servant, that all civil servants captured through d biometrics have been paid till date. So,technically, we have all been paid till date, since we have finished our biometrics.

God have mercy.. maybe for the fact that it looks like only teachers remain to be paid. Its inconsequential to him as they say our reward is in heaven. God will surely intervene

It appears this injustice is done to ministry of education alone, all others have been paid from my guess. Even Phalga, obiokpo etc has been selectively paid to silence major uproaring within phc. It seems to be a calculated attempt nevertheless there is a LORD Almighty that search the deep thought of man. You can perfect plans to subject fellow humans to inhuman treatment, but He understand your game plan. God that visited Nebuchadnezzar arise. Can the governo survive two months of no salary? Yet he has subjected people with families and needs to 4 months, some 5 months of no salary, some of these people pay tithe and give offerings, among them are widows and orphans still he has the gut to spit in their faces over the radio.
He is using biometric as an excuse. Rivers is not the only state that did biometric yet it did not deny anyone of monthly salary. He can deceive himself and the gullible with biometric not the world.
My advice, is to make this trend on the social media to capture the interest of those who care to listen.
May God be our supply

The Cry of An Unsung Hero!
He has helped many to discover the paths of their destinies. He has made the lives of many to be better of than the way met it. He has deserted his life and that of his beloved ones, even at the point of sickness or death, to make sure that one becomes great.
Now,what was his reward? What was his prize for all these good services he has rendered? He has been promised peanuts. Even, the peanuts have been denied of him.Rather, what he would hear from those that supposed to pay him,"Don't worry man, your reward is in heaven".

INEC has postponed the legislative election rerun in Rivers state for the second time. The election is supposed to be held next Saturday. According to a statement by the Secretary to INEC, Mrs. Augusta Ogakwu, the rerun was shifted again because of reports of violence in the state. “As a responsible organisation and conscious of the violence, maiming and fatalities which accompanied the previous election in March as well as developments in the state since then, the commission cannot ignore such credible reports. “In the circumstances, therefore, it is compelled to further postpone the rerun legislative elections in Rivers State as one of the principal conditions earlier stipulated for the return of the state for the conclusion of the election has, regrettably, not been met.” No new date for the election has been fixed
