joesbuba: i was at embassy yesterday when i saw this i took the pic to share with nairaland, the matter has been reported to the consuler general and the torn passport with them

You were at the embassy yesterday (22/06/2012) and took that picture? But you started this same thread in Foreign Affairs section on 14/06/2012? https://www.nairaland.com/964183/south-africa-police-tear-nigeria

I'm still waiting for you to come and clarify this or i will bin this thread.

The facts we need to prosecute this topic(thread) is lacking, so as a matter of fact it would be wrong to make silly comments base on that.
Though no reason is justifiable for his actions(assuming it's true), it's also wrong to want to beleive it was done due to shear hatred for Nigerians.
Directly or indirectly, Nigeria is indispensable in africa beleive it or not.

I think you misunderstood the original poster. What he said was that he took the photos yesterday(22/06/2012) and probably not the time of the incidencewhich could have happened on 14/06/2012 as rumor may carry it).

So, I think you are the one that is wrong here.

South Africans are naturally xenophobic toward African blacks!

Maybe you should take your time and read before rushing to comment, the same poster started both threads,

so if he took the picture on 22/06/2012, where did he get the same picture he used on the 14/06/2012?

Funny set of policeman. One was seen sticking his Rifle in his nyash (http://www.divanaija.com.ng/hilarious-south-african-policeman-stick-ak47-b-utt/)

Come to think of it, African Police are the same!!!

Ok! so this dude first posted this on June 14 under >> Foreign Affairs / South Africa Police Tear A Nigeria Passport Into Pisses by joesbuba: 2:50pm On Jun 14

It generated 4 comments and didn't make front page
He then posted the remix today --- Travel / South-African Policeman Tears Nigerian's Passport To Pieces (Pic) by joesbuba: 1:30pm
But this time around, it generated lots of comments and made front page - It is a miracle!!!!!!
The pictures posted on the 14th were IMG00599-20120613-1709.jpg and IMG00598-20120613-1708.jpg
joesbuba: claimed "this guy is now stranded and was to leave this weekend back to nigeria please this guy need help how do we complain to the right authority" on the 14th but hin story change today
without going into other details, I think joesbuba is just a FRAUD --- QED (Case closed)
Wow shocked

What in the world is going on with Nairaland Moderators these past months?

Must every post make it to the front page? Most especially very sensitive ones likely to cause National and International unrest?

The Passport in question might have been expired or fake for all we care. Journalism is all about findings.

The poster should have provided the passport number, visa details, name on passport before such story could be confirmed as being true.

We all know the length at which Nigeria could go to travel out of the country through hook or crook means.

If the story is true, Let him report to Nigeria high commision/embassy in South Africa and if he has and nothing concrete has been done then he should forward the information to us here.

Then and only then will we all rise and ask for the recall of the Higher Commisioner in South Africa.

Seun be very careful, yourself and your moderators need to have regular meetings and discussions on how to operate this forum because it appears you all are loosing it by each passing second.

Just a harmless advice.
Rubbish!!!... what will make a policeman tear another country's passport even if its fake?!... can't he take him to immigration?! something must be wrong or fishing, we tolerate alot in Nigeria, as for me i rather travel to Sahara desert and tour the desert than for me to go to SA, Useless and Xenophobic country!!!

before you insult a sister country you should double check the mental conditions of your country men who create false story on internet in order to tarnish the image of that particular country...unless you are all suffering from a sickness called " SouthAfrobia"
