That's not the issue. The issue is that the Muslims will not take this as an opportunity to start insulting Christianity because this is an act of a single man. If this man were to be a Muslim, we all know what to expect on this forum. For the past 7 days, a day hardly passes by without one or two reported cases of sex related atrocities on this forum and all by Christians from the south but you will never see a comment by any Muslim insulting either the religion or the region. The day you will see a case involving either ADAMU or Ibrahim, hmmm.

For the unintelligent people treating this issue from the angle of religion, have a rethink.. We have had muslims kill innocent ppl, should i conclude islamists will burn in hell?

This stupid rapist is just one of the many ppl whom devil plays poker with but claims to be a church goer same goes for the muslim ppl who kill their fellow man..... If the news read "Damilola, a Redeem member won a nobel prize", you would
have jumped with joy and associate your church with the church,

Your question is unfortunate. Very unfortunate. Looks more like you seek the downfall of the church. You don't know that you are calling for downfall for yourself when you seek the downfall of others.

This is not a matter of the church; it is a matter of a "wolf in sheep skin" male church member and an unthinking and probably naive and too-trusting lady. Because the two of them attend the same church doesn't mean the church should be dragged down in this mud.

Once a woman says no even if they had undressed It is rape. Rape can be defined as the penetration of a woman's private part without consent given or consent given due to use of force.
Even if it wasn't a rape the Law would be biased in favour of the woman.
