[b]I’ve been thinking about the power of apology lately. I’ve
been noticing that the people for whom I have the most
respect don’t hesitate to say “I was wrong,” or “I’m sorry…” On the other hand, the people I have the hardest
time respecting seem constitutionally unable to take
responsibility for their own mistakes. Even when they
try, it comes out sounding like “I may have been partly
at fault, but…” or “It may seem that I was wrong, but…”
They just can’t do it.

It is not only good as a leader or an aspiring leader to
admit you are wrong when you are; but also it can
also be a powerful tool for leaders—actually
increasing legitimacy and, when practiced regularly,
can help to build a culture that actually increases
solidarity, innovation, openness to change and many
other positive features of organizational life.

Ever since my disqualification was announced precisely on Monday, I have reflected on what led to it, according to the organizers, either wrong or right, I have deliberated with my ever loyal team and I have come to notice that what you think pleases your heart may end up hurting someone's heart.
Great leaders have always being known to say "I'm sorry" when majority of their followers, supporters and even haters tells them they have done wrong and this path I have decided to take.

For those nairalanders I have wronged in whatever way, either in this contest, miss nairaland or even before any of these contests were birthed, from my inner most heart, I, kinginvahala on behalf of myself and my ever loyal team say, I AM SORRY![/b]
