My search criteria when I looking for doctor was, No Nigerian doctor and not where Nigerians flock to. And im unapologetic mehn, its my money and my life involved.

from day one till now (10 months 2 weeks) my baby doesn't sleep for 2 hrs in a stretch, so don't worry. he only sleeps for like 3 hers at a stretch at nite wake up for breastfeeding then sleep again. it think its nature.
Some r heavy sleeper while some sleep for lesser hours.

the teaching hospital is @ Ogbomoso bt d one on d main campus was more than a sick bay too; uni health center wia indigenes used to come for treatment/deliver dia babies&a number of minor surgeries done too

This is exactly what came to my mind when I saw the post. Does she wish the mother dead

Im still racking my brain to try and understand why she would have done that. But if na me, na from hospital we for dey talk this matter. Im quick tempered like that, I fit don break bottle before I begin ask questions grin

How many hours sleep does he get in total within a 24 hour period?

You know what you should do for the next one week?

Get a pen and paper and write down the time he falls asleep and the time he wakes up. You will be amazed to find out the total number of hours he sleeps in a day.

It will also help you to know your baby's sleeping pattern and where he feels most comfortable to have a nap. Some babies love to sleep after a bath. Some are most alert after a bath. Some prefer to sleep between noon and 2pm, etc. Some prefer to nap on a sleeping mat/blanket as this guarantees a good long nap. Others prefer cot.

For example, currently my son will not sleep for up to one hour in a cot during the day. He prefers the bed or cuddle cushion and on that he can sleep a good 2-4 hours.

It's ok to feel the way you are feeling.

One rule of the game when resuming work after child birth is to resume on a WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY. That way, the weekend is very close for you to spend with your babies again.

Also, if your office is not far from home, pop in at break time, play with them and go back. If not, when you get back home, make it mummy and baby's time. Once I'm back from work, I discharge everybody and spend all the time with my baby till morning again.

How easy were you able to manage the pain ?

The pain is the same.
Only difference is natural labour takes a normal route to climbing up the pain.
Like a staircase to the 10th floor (highest pain) while induction is more like using and elevator..... straight to floor 10.
When I was induced, by the time I was 6cm, I was tearing down the room.
Natural labour, I didn't start tearing down the room till I was like 8cm.
Nature gives your body time to adjust to the pain. Induction doesn't give a f.. k about your body, it just wants you to pop the baby out.
The good thing about induction when it works is shorter labour... .patapata 10 hours.
The bad thing is if it fails, you will hate yourself for going through all that pain and still ending up with a CS.

I also complained about the heavy bleeding, so I had to do a scan... They discovered fibroid in my endometrium...

I'm heart broken...

@Faithisallihave, if I were you, I would take thing easy with her. Just tell her it's bad, she shouldn't do it next time to any baby that isn't hers., also tell her the implications. She might be doing it innocently. Please don't create everlasting enmity btw you two.

While growing up, a friend used to do it in mothers' present, like, I go give your pikin breiast oo, and they will reply that, give am na if milk go come out. this my friend will give the baby and start laughing. She may still want to behave like that now not knowing it's really bad.

Now,I dont want to think about this issue of someone breast feeding another person's child...chai,some person should not try me oooooo.

though my mum told me in one of our discussions that the olden days women used to do that time,but if i happened to live in the olden days i will still frown at it...mehn body dey shake me oooo

I guess you are very wrong about me, when I post pictures, I leave it all day, afterall am not in support of those that remove so soon without me getting to see the cuties. I actually don't know anything about 'yinmu' hope its not something bad. If you took time to go through, you will notice that apart from the ones posted in the morning, nobody posted when the heat was on until late in the evening.

Secondly, these days I am crazy busy. Even offline, my life is no longer mine, it belongs to the wedding, my sister and my family. When I come online, I just read and answer in my head.
Has anyone noticed I haven't been congratulating new moms.... na tiredness. I usually wait till they're like 5. E no easy na home+work+many things.

She's getting better o, Dr advised to deworm her again (dewormed in June) cos she lost her appetite completely, i gave her d prescribed drug and she accepted her food dis evening before sleeping. Am a little bit relieved now. Thanks.
