your biggest mistake is to think God is with them, James 4:4- .......don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

They have aligned themselves so much with the world that they and the world are one and thesame, making themselves enemies of God.

I won't put them in fire and watch them burn but some bad children are disowned by the father and the father don't care what happens to them afterwards. Nobody knows how God is but the Bible has made us understand the He has two side. One side is love for those who do His will and the other is consuming fire for those who go against his will.
