On that same portion of land where I just finished harvesting cucumber early July, I have today formally started work to cultivate cucumber on that same land.

I will keep you guys posted. This is my first thread on cucumber though I posted some pictures of the previous cultivation on many threads including this link.

I am curious. Why don't you get some seeds from the cucumber you harvested earlier? Or is that not possible?

It's possible, though I have not tried it before. So, I save myself the risk.

I bought 1 for 1800. I don't really know about the yield tho, but a friend of mine advised me to get it. he tried it before and it produced well for Him. he went to market every 3days with at least 10 bags and he planted 2 and half cans. (according to him)

l asked cause I'm considering using super marketer or marker more, but want to ke their yield n disease resistance to prepare ahead. Your friend planted abt 300 grams dats much. Do u kw the size of his farm, estimated yield plant n challenge he encountered ? Remain blessed

Tomorrow by His grace I will be planting, but without manure (poultry waste).
Re: My Cucumber Farming Experience In Lagos by jephito(m): 11:13pm On Aug 27, 2016
I planted today. Day 1 of the journey
Pic 1: That's the left over of the manure I used the last time. It's not much at all

Pic 2: That's the bed with manure on it. I do on the spot (where I will plant the seed) application.

Pic 3: That's how we apply the compost manure.

Normally, I usually apply my compost manure prior (not more than 3dys) to the day I want to plant so that I can identify the spot I placed the manure. But I delayed this one to the same day cos it's not much.

Two cans of Tokyo F1 was not enough, so I took like 20g from the third can to complete the farm.

Apart from this 1½ plots, I am doing another one plot elsewhere but will not give it trellis. The remaining 30g left could not finish it and I didn't budget for another can. So I opted for another variety to complete the planting.

I bought 2 sachets @1k3/sachet
