MAKE SURE BOTH BATTERIES ARE WORKING VERY VERY WELL.
although oyinbo says other wise but i am using 3 different brands and they are all working perfectly well in parallel connection , but if one battery is good and the other is not too good or bad, the bad one will kill the good one,

if ur setup is with a 12v ups or inverter, charge both batteries full and test each battery ur appliance, make sure u know how long battery A lasted on the appliance and test battery B on same appliance, this method is only for those wey no get meter

I have a digital multimeter(DMM). If that is the meter you are talking about, how do I check to confirm? I mean is it the voltage of each battery after full charge or what? I use a 12v UPS.

it is not good at all. it is recommended you use similar batteries. one is a gel battery while the other is a maintenance free sealed lead acid battery. They have different charging algorithm. it is not advisable for you to pair them up.

if u get enough cash, go for QUANTA 200AMPS AGM deep cycle battery. i use it and it's rugged. but very costly, its should be about 110k now.

there are so many good ones and the same time bad and fakes in the market, zenith, garcia, QUANTA, fullriver are good, if u are buying an unknown brand, check if the manufacturers have that battery model on their website by searching the battery's name and model number on google ,

but if u are buying a used battery, just put am for mind say if u are not lucky, e fit disappoint u any time, no matter the make

Yes, a car battery will work but it won't last, if u've not bought the car battery, close eye add money buy deepcycle battery, u won't enjoy the car battery and if the battery is from ur car, that means na every 4 months u go dey change ur car battery

Good morning guys..bin following this thread for a while and I have now finally put something together. However I will need your assistance on one final connection. I used a modified bluegate 650va ups (added a fan to cool the transformer), got am external 10amps charger, and I removed 4 17ah batteries from my 2200kva APC ups making a total of 68AH. I have connected the batteries to the ups, where exactly do I plug the external charger on the batteries? Can I connect it to any of the ends? Or is there a specific way in have to do dat? Attached is the configuration I put together....
