First of all, I'd like to commend you on your beautiful logo, despite not being picked, it reflects the hard work and commitment you put into it.

In comparison however, it looks quite busy, too animated, and more suitable as a coat of arms as against a state seal or emblem. If both were to be printed on an official document or podium, I'm sure you'd agree that the other one looks more appropriate especially as it captures the essence of your entire logo within the shield which was neatly positioned inside the ring.

The take away is that simplicity and clarity without losing the essence is key. Nevertheless your logo was a brilliant effort and I encourage you to keep improving. Good luck.

Idonblivdis, so you can reason like this? Kudos

@OP

You tried. However, don't be a sore losser. Take note, self-conceitedness never takes anyone far in life. Well, as the saying goes brevity is the soul of wit; the chosen one is better than yours in this regard.

If a, you Used artificial things in your logo. The elephants were stepping on Abia state without respect and they look somewhat oversized for the proportion of the picture.

Overall, I truly think your logo is a bit childish. I think the other logo was better designed.

OP your logo looks more like the NPF's own (Nigeria Police). You tried but next time don't let it get too busy. Is Abia state home to elephant? Your logo was too artistic and not official for a state emblem

Your logo will be too difficult to forge. How you want make office people carve his own stamp?

Maybe because u wear face cap and pampers for the elephants in your own...
Besides, two elephants in just one logo? U wan kill the state ni?

Your logo is great, but just too heavy.

The other has no originality

The colours is an idea of Lagos States emblem and the stars are from the US air force emblem

God bless u!

i say God bless u again...

i thought i was the only one who noticed....

Buying other people concept is great,

But having nothing that represent your people is another

Your version looks childish. An elephant tying loin cloth with cap looks comical to say the least.

The elephant represents 'enyimba' which is a popular slogan in the state.
I think his logo represents the true identity of the state, but needs thinks like artisanship embedded like in the other logo which represents the spirit of invention as exhibited during the Biafra war

Beremx:
Eyimba FC should buy your logo.

If he adds Football to it

How Abia State Government Turned Down My Logo Design, Be The Judge (pics)

The New Abia Logo was unveiled few days ago and I received the news with shock. I pursued this logo for over 2yrs and in the end another logo was chosen.

*August 2013*
There was a call/announcement for submission of prospective state emblems through the BCA (Broadcasting Cooperation of Abia State) radio. I visited BCA and was directed to submit my entry with the office of the Secretary to the State Government, then headed by Dr. Nkpa O. Nkpa. Mine was later chosen and I was assigned to work with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Chief. Nathan Harbour. After a number of corrections, insertions and modifications, Chief. Harbour introduced me to the then commissioner for Information, Dr.Eze Chikamnayo, who took special interest on delivering the emblem; further adjustments were made on the emblem. However, towards preparations for the 2015 elections all matters on the state emblem initiative vanished and this is a bit understandable given the demands of our electioneering in this part of the world.
With a new government in place, I drafted and sent several proposals and reminder on the emblem, in addition with an anthem & a flag. Incidentally, on October 1, 2015 the governor called for entries on a state emblem and anthem and I again submitted mine and followed up, constantly sending reminders to the governor's social media platforms. I also exchanged mails with the Chief Press Secretary C. N. Nwakodo on several occasions concerning the entry.

Disappointed? Maybe

I am a bit disappointed not that my entry missed out on being selected for the state emblem, but that my work in every way can challenge and best the current choice in criteria as quality, interpretation and order. I put in my best with logo standards like that of Lagos and Osun state. But I will let my fellow Nairalanders be the judge.

Dear Mods, help me take this news up..

As a Graphic artist, I'll go for your logo, very creative. I love it.

Nice try, but your LOGO has some errors.
1: It's too clumsy
2: How can you have two elephants on the logo, is Abia all about elephants, even the elephants are leaning on the state, you want to use the weight to bring down the state??

3: still on the elephants, why are they wearing head caps and boxers are they human beings?? It makes no sense bro.

4: The elephants where standing in position as if they wanted to urinate on the state which is a disrespect .

The other logo is simple and the items were better defined even without explanations.
And the elephant in the other Logo looks happier.

Nice logo but those two elephants with legs up and traditional caps look like are dancing masquerade. The entire logo to me look like shrine. Abia is God's own state as they say.

Well, this is quite complex. Good job, but it has too much to see. I should be able to read meanings from your logo within the first 5secs. Too much to see, too many distractions, too busy. It's like having 3Logos in one.

Abeg o.p your own logo looks too occultic! Which kind shrine those elephants dey bow to sef? I must side with the abia state government on this one!

Your own logo go fit pursue foreign investors and muslims! Na pagans, native doctors and wizards and witches for dey flock to abia by mistake thinking say dem don give dem their own state!
You are absolutely right,he tried but his design is too heavy and i think its not the best
The one they chose is far better than his logo, simple and cute

It is too Igbotic and not fully representative of the people of Abia ....Abians are not Elephants naaaa ...they are humans and their various trades needs to be highlighted. An emblem is a representative of the people's culture. The new one did just that though not fully.

Incidentally, on October 1, 2015 the governor called for entries on a state emblem and anthem and I again submitted mine and followed up, constantly sending reminders to the governor's social media platforms.
