We already know this Sahara reporters. We living in Edo knows those crowd that fills the stadium anytime they use the stadium for campaign are always rented. Sometime ago I disclose there disbursement areas in each local government where you collect money and board the bus to Benin city.

Majority of them comes from Edo North where APC population is high. Sometime if you watch the reaction of the crowd during campaign you will know they have no connection with the party. They will be like "abeg talk make the campaign finish come pay us our money". Lol.

If this elections is free and fair. APC won't win 7 local government out of the 18 and they know this. Mark my words.

Anyone who knows politics knows that Ize IYAMU has won, it is not about filling a stadium

Ize IYAMU ground forces across Edo State is legendary. When the man says he can sleep and eat in every local government in the state then you have to appreciate how deep that is!

. Osagie Ize-Iyamu was born in Benin City on the 21st day of June 1962. He was sired of Chief Robert Osayande Ize-Iyamu and Mrs. Magdalene Naghado Ize- Iyamu (nee Obasohan), both of blessed memory. His father was a revered high chief of the Oba of Benin, ranking second in command until his demise as the Esogban of Benin. His mother was a trained teacher who later distinguished herself as a very successful trader.

Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a descendant of an illustrious family deeply rooted in nobility and with an outstanding record of service to the community and society. His forefather, Chief Odia was the Iyase’N’ohenmwen (Prime Minister) of Benin in the reign of Oba Osemwende (1816 – 1848 A.D). Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s maternal heritage is also of notable repute. His mother’s father was the well known Obasohan of Akpakpava.

The Ize-Iyamu family originated from the present day Iguododo in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State. The mother of Chief Izevbizua Iyamu, the Obahiagbon of Benin, Osagie’s grandfather was from Usen in Ovia South-West Local Government Area. Remarkably too, Osagie’s father’s mother, Igbinoghene Ize-Iyamu (nee Ogiemwanre Obazuwaye) hailed from Ughoton, in Ovia North-East Local Government Area while her mother came from Ute in Ikpoba Okha. The Obasohan N’Akpakpava Family which is Osagie’s maternal family came from Erua of Igieduma Ward, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area.

It is pertinent to state that late Pa Obasohan, Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s maternal grandfather and the mother of His Majesty, Oba Erediauwa were first cousins. His mother’s maternal family is of the Oyeru Family of Oredo Local Government Area.

A most significant aspect of the history of the Ize-Iyamu family is that it holds the record of building and owning the first storey building "Egedege N'Okaro"[6][7] in the whole of the Mid-Western Region, Nigeria which is the present day Edo and Delta States. It was built in 1906 by Osagie’s great grandfather Late Chief Iyamu, the Inneh of Benin Kingdom. It is in this revered historical house that Osagie Ize-Iyamu grew up under the shadows of inspiration.[8]

May God run your life the way Buhari is running Nigeria.
Say Amen.

If you cant say Amen to that prayer, then it is high time you come back to your senses and realize that Buhari has to resign cos he has no clue as to what governance is all about.

Iyamu is no saint but it appears it is his destiny to be the next governor. I knew this when Oshio imposed an unpopular Obaseki to this discontent of many party members. He lost grassroots support in the process.

What about Shuaibu? Another of Oshiomhole's stooge. That dude is 'hated' by the Binis for reasons inexplicable. Again, who advised Oshiomhole to invite Buhari to come campaign for them in Benin? It was a disastrous dumb ill-advised move. It backfired! Buhari is extremely unpopular presently in the South and even in some Northern parts.

Iyamu's running mate enjoys an avalanche of sympathy from the electorates in Edo South and Central. How did this happen? Yakubu, as popular as he was in Esan, had his electoral victory stolen and handed to the apc candidate. Yes, video evidence later emerged on how the election was rigged. Surprisingly the dude went for thanksgiving the following Sunday and also went around to appreciate those who voted for him.

Oshio made Iyamu more popular after denying him access to public facilities for campaign purposes.

Defeat is sure for apc...thanks to Oshio who bungled it all for his party.

You are well grounded. Puis Odubu would have been a far better option but Oshiomole rigged the primary for his puppet Obaseki and still went ahead to impose Shaibu as Deputy on his party.

To worsen everything Buhari visit murdered the party chances....

What people don't know is Ize Iyamu still have more than 50% loyalist in APC and he is a great grassroot politician. If you doubt me ask Oshiomole.

Why are you fuming from the mouth?! Let the Election be contested and let's see who would win. You guys only make noise online but we don't hear your voices here in Edo State.

I was surprised that when I got to Benin for the Grand Finale of th campaign, I didn't see any campaign poster of Ize-Iyamu from Aduwawa to Dawson Street, to New Benin, to Forestry road right to Ring road and down to the stadium. I don't see how he's popular in Edo State. Apart from Ize-Iyamu winning the 5 LGs in Edo Central (Esan) and maybe 3 (highest) in Benin, I don't see him winning more than 8 LGs in Edo State.

Obaseki on the other hand has the 6 LGs in Edo North to his credit and other 4 in Edo south (Benin). Please temme how he's gonna lose that election. Where do you put your hope? Pls be bold enough to post the result of your PU on this forum with a picture-proof, lemme also post mine. I hate riff-raffs who brag online.

Funny enough, all these persons shouting pdp will win are either not from Edo state or won't come out to vote that day.. In as much as i would love POI to win, i don't see that happening cos most of his supporters are only good at 'making mouth' onlne.. APC will still win the election.

dis one na public knowledge. d moment police n daura boys brigade (dss) talk say make inec shift elections immediately i know say na buari dullard's govt wey give d oda. though for me personally, i agree make dem shift election by 1week for waec (90% percent of candidates wey dey write waec externals na eligible voters) n sallah wey dey come on sat n monday respectively. inec sef too incompetent dem for check d dates to avoid clashes. however their argument on security thread as their major reason for postponement na TOTAL LIES!!!
dem know sey dem go lose. dem dey fear no be small especially oshiom-ole. but even if dem postpone am 5 times, dem go still lose d elections - FACT.
infact as e dey now with d postponement dem don compound their own electoral lose - fuel scarcity go rock d nation in d next coming weeks.

It's very tru iyamu has loyalist in APC, I engage in debates wit some of d locals most times. Even some APC supporters said de will vote iyamu. But from my observations,i think d election is 50-50 with odds iyamu-2.50, obaseki-2.50

Be specific not opaque. Do scenarios with clear mention and voting strength as well as percentage/margin of victory per LGA. Then u will know that apc is a goner!
