Sylvarresta: He did not need to ask because Jonathan made his assets declaration public even though he did not make a campaign PROMISE to do so like the pretender we currently have in Aso Rock. Jonathan also provided his personal income TAX returns, which Buhari has NEVER done. Buhari CANNOT match Jonathan on the basis of TRANSPARENCY, which is the cornerstone for fighting CORRUPTION meaningfully in a sustainable manner. Even if our legislators are paid #100/annun officially, that won't stop them from taking kick backs from contractors, bill movers, and every other avenue that comes their way. That said, if they earn pennies (for instance) and they have the love of the nation at heart through informormed legislations their renumeration won't be an obstacle. It's simply a thing of orientation and dedication. |

InvertedHammer:i say restructure rather than use military dictatorial tactics..it never ends well...a restructuring would be sustainable and long lasting and also beneficial to all.. |
Re: Senators, Reps Share N46 Billion Annually- Daily Trust by InvertedHammer: 10:03am On Oct 10, 2016 |
bayelsaowei:/ Restructure? How? Who will restructure? Is it not the same legislature that is supposed to do the restructuring? Revolution comes in different formats and none is peaceful as some of you envisage in your fantasy world. Most third world countries that fought corruption and won had to do it violently else it becomes a wasted effort. Don't assume that corruption cannot fight back. \ |

InvertedHammer:please give me examples...and please give me unbiased examples.. i subscribe for a revolution...no nigerian leader presently that isnt partisan...reason why i have always doubted the present fight against corruption..its a silly sham... it baffles me that many youths are still being fooled that the present admin is fighting corruption instead of them to take to the streets to determine their future... |

anonimi: And how we going to find remedy when your likes are the one who will start going against the President tomorrow? Nigeria have gone worse that we don't need any useless Rule of Law to correct it, Even the judges are so corrupt that they will not deliver any meaningful judgement. This legislators have the money to pay those judge that's why most of them are walking freely. For now Rule of Law doesn't work in Nigeria. |

anonimi: This is exactly what am talking about, You are here now supporting GEJ and at the same times going against his mole in the house what are we to believe? There's a word that says FEAR YOUR ENEMIES BUT FEAR YOUR FRIENDS MORE. GEJ declare his assets publicly Dd he declare the #5billion hotel in Abuja that belong to PEJ? Did he declare the #10billion hotel in Abuja? Did he Declare the millions of dollars in PEJ accounts? Did he declare the massive house in Bayelsa then?
