Don't worry madam. Have faith. I quite understand you. Even staying a distance from your partner within Nigeria isn't an easy task. I join my faith with yours for divine favour this time.

@Awelekiti... Amen. Thank you so much. I really appreciate. This too shall pass and I will testify. God perfect all that concerns you too. Amen

Good day d gurus in d house.i intend applying for canada tourist visa most likely via the online route because my passport is still at a shenghen embassy and i also need d current visas there since canadian embassy takes time. smiley.pls i need a comprehensive requirement from personal experience.#not cic based requirement. grin
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by shadeebee78: 3:33pm On Oct 12, 2016
I'm not sure online route is ideal but considering that they are no longer dealing with students visa you may be lucky. You can read through the thread and see the different documents people have used. I don't think there is any hard and fast rule to documents. Different people with different requirements based on your circumstance. Wish you luck.

You want to visit Canada but you don't want their requirements? So after advising you outside IRCC requirements what next? This house will also issue you a Visa?

Please kindly note that in order not to derail your application, you need to stick to IRCC requirements. Read through the forum to get an idea of what people went through. Mistakes that were made and how it can be avoided. Read about agents who derailed applications and even attached fake visa stamps to the passport of an applicant.

Happy reading. grin

Loving this response you got from them. Don't know why they wouldn't just tell me that mine was in a queue.

I suspect this "approximation" is derived from an average of paper and online application. Let's say paper is 56days and online is 145days. The average of this is 100days. This is my own assumption.

On a lighter note, maybe you need to find a successor before you can move on. Someone to pass your title to. grin

IRCC states that they cannot issue a Visa beyond the validity of the passport. So your friend will get a visa one month short of the expiry date on his passport or even shorter than that.

That's good enough but also note that the weight of your account's credit balance isn't all that matters, but how constantly is the account run. If you dumped a lump sum say, of 100m in the account for instance and left it idle for a long time, the CIC may assume you dropped the money there for the purpose of getting a visa and the fund might not be readily available for your trip as it could be withdrawn after visa is issued. Please before you submit, run through the CIC's visa checklist(downloaded from the CIC website) to ensure you didn't fall short of their requirements for the category of visa you're applying for. Good luck!

what you can do is, put your mind at rest and hope for the best. If you're qualified for a visa, the CIC will not deny you one, even if the conference you were going to attend had expired before they were done with your file. You could still use the visa next time.

It means if the account is runing very well, the person can go with just 500k credit balance in his/her account for submission?...

No nah. You should have enough in your account to cover your trip. You said you have 17m or 1.7m? 1.7m is not even up to the $6500CAD that you want to spend.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by brotundes: 12:11pm On Oct 13, 2016
That's my own. Am asking the question for a friend of mine who as 500k in his account and collecting 100k as salary.am asking he good to go or to advise him to be patient
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by RedReact: 12:31pm On Oct 13, 2016
^^^
Two things matter here;
1. The amount entering an account on a monthly basis
2. The account balance at the end of the month

To the issue of your friend, the application may not surface, not sounding as a prophet of doom though, but just go with reality. The VO will try to calculate the current economic situation in the country and balance it with the monthly inflow and the balance at hand. He/she will also believe that the applicant will have family obligations to fulfill at the end of each month. All these will form their premises on which the decision will be based.
