My baby's was 9 days old when we did, home service by a nurse from FMC. After the whole thing, she told us to apply only penicillin and the ring fell off exactly 4 days.

Note: I apply the penicillin religiously, during every nappy change.

Goodmorning mamas,trust we slept well,please so sorry to disturb am a new mum,i knw have not bin a member her but i really need ur help,please my 2months old baby has tiny boils lik pimples all over her body,i was told its happens to babies that are fat/going to be fat(my baby is fat doe) and when it burst it spread,ave checked and its not chicken pox,please have any one witness such and what can i use to clear it,her whole body is a mess i can even bath her well so it wont burst.thank you mamas.
And secondly on tueday i took my baby to the hospital for immunization she was given injection on her lab,both laps,yesdty i noticed d spot had turned red n swollen,pls wat can i do for dis case.tnk u so much

You can either use Vaseline or penicillin ointment on it! Air dry it sometimes too by not wearing a diaper, maybe when he's asleep!

That's all the process is easier these days and healing is faster and less stressful

Looks like impetigo it's a bacterial infection. Ensure you all practice more hand washing around the house especially before carrying her! Immediately disinfect all sheets, towels and wrappers used for her.

Add savlon or a mild disinfectant to her bath water

Ensure your home is mopped/ cleaned with water and bleach solution

Spirit? I was given olive oil to apply on it till the cap fell off

EBF babies get big cos my baby weighed 7.7kg @ 4 months, 11.2kg @ 9 months. To carry him was a serious job for me, it even affected by lefthand wrist. Thank God, he is independent now.

They use it to swab the skin before incision and before and after injections. So that no bacteria on the skin enters the blood, infects the puncture/cut/wound and causes Sepsis. It is just very pepper-y. Maybe that is why he said it. Before you fuya find him and tear up his medical degree

Babe we are talking about the baby's peepee here oh! Quite a sensitive organ even in the olden days I doubt if spirit was used!

Of course I know spirit is used in some wound/surgical sites but not like peepee... Even without wound there u can imagine what pouring Spirit will be like

Thanks dear.He was 3.5kg.The site is healing but still feeling pains o.my dear I won't allow my enemy go there o.

I think it is that they are not considered to be "overfed or overweight" as opposed to a formular fed baby of same age and weight who may be considered overweight and you may be asked to reduce feeds.
