After then, i was taught the tenets of faith and all that. since then I've desired to be filled in the holy ghost. there are many things i want to do but i can't because i'm not bold enough to do them. sometimes, I can't even pray for up to 15 minutes at home. But i can pray up to 3 hours in the church.. I dey find holy spirit oo

Pride blocks progress. Pride will have some people so blind they can't even see themselves. They can't see they are inconsistent, they can't see they are lazy, they can't see they are a bad parent, spouse, or worker. They could be divorced three times and swear it was never their fault in any way all three times. Pride will make you lose the best thing that ever happened to you.Pride always blames everybody else, or conditions around them instead of ever taking any personal responsibility. Proud people can't see they are unappreciative or have a bad attitude or lack good communication skills. They can't see that just because they think something is normal doesn't mean it is right. They can't see that their group of friends, peers, or family is wrong about something. They can't appreciate a good thing when they have it. They can't see they have an issue with anger, lying, stealing, or cheating. They can't even see they are treating a person wrong or unfairly.Many times they won't receive what you are saying when you tell them the truth about themselves. The pride is so strong that the denial has become a reality to them. When people can't see their flaws, they can't make progress, because they are incapable of building on these bad things. You can't build your marriage, job, home, business or anything else if you are the one tearing it down because of pride. The meek shall inherit the earth. Never be too proud to see yourself or listen. Pride will leave you spiritually skinny and block your blessings and progress.

Pls i had dz dream last night and i need someone to interprete it for me

I saw myself washing cloth,then the soap i was using got finished,i went out to get a new soap,upon coming back,i notice the entrance gate to our house was open, meanwhile i was d only at home while washing, so i was baffled who could have suddenly entered,then i came in and i saw 3 chickens and dz were d chickens we've been lookin for in our house for long in the dream, so i asked myself who could have brought dz chicken, i moved closer to check the chickens and i noticed one of them was already paralyzed and was vomiting something out from the mouth but the remaining two were still owk

I stepped into the house to find out who must have brought dz chickens back and suddenly a boy with a terrifying look like the one's in dz comical cartoons we watch on TV came out and charged at me,that was how i woke up

Pls what could dz dream means ?

Hello brother,

I believe you are a born again Christian. Born again in the sense that you have put aside your old ways and decided to live for Jesus Christ. Though temptations and trials will come, but putting your faith in Jesus and in His word will give you the victory you deserve.


Have you been baptized by immersion (water baptism)? If not, you'll have to do that. Stick close to God by being in the congregation of His people like you are now. Read God's word daily to energize your spirit and pray always to keep a close relationship with God. Resist every form of temptation and sin that comes your way. Sin will only make you run in circles or it's either it takes you backwards. So it's a No No for sin.


The Lord knows your weaknesses, and if you are willing to put aside those weaknesses, He will come and help you. Just have a strong zeal to the things of God, and have a strong dislike for sin. You can rededicate your covenant with Jesus Christ and allow Him work through your life in the most beautiful way you can ever imagine.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. What You want to see supernatural beings? No pls dont wish for it. Besides, you dont wish to see them, I mean godly ones oo. I dont know for evil ones. If God chooses to show you then, fine, if not, just seek him through the word of God.

Eveeyone of us have a paeticular gift. Be born again, eshew sin, live holy and study the Word, Communicate frequently with Yahweh, he will reveal himaelf to you.

If you wish to see any being, Satan will send a demon to you. He is eagerly waiting for a desire such as yours.

Check here, for those who have the gift, it starts manifesting when they were atill very young in age. That's to indicate that, they were chosen into the proohetic, but some lost it along the way, due to sin.

If you have the Prophetic gift, you"d see naturally without asking. Asking is very dangerous. There're so many beings looking for hosts. Be careful.

earth, their words to the ends of the world” (Psalm 19:1-4). Looking at the stars,
understanding the vastness of the universe, observing the wonders of nature, seeing the beauty of a sunset, all of these things point to a Creator God. If these were not enough, there is also evidence of God in our own hearts. Deep within us is the recognition that there is something beyond this life and someone beyond this world. Irrespective of what we belief, We cannot deny intellectually the obvious presence of God in us and all around us. Without taking this too far, i'd like you to think about this; culture throughout history has had some form of law. Everyone has a sense of right and wrong. Murder, lying, stealing, and immorality are almost universally rejected. Where did this sense of right and wrong come from? Finally, every morning when you wake up, stand in front of a mirror and look at your own reflection, ask yourself the same question, "Does God exist? With all seriousness, do this for 7 days, and you'll get the answer you are looking for.

There is this church in Lagos where the pastor teaches against Holy communion, water baptism, tithe & anointing oil. He said they not for believer's and uses so many scriptures to back it up.
There is this friend of mine going to the church and even leads a fellowship teaching what the pastor teaches and i have tried making him see how its all an error that all because we are believers doesnt invalidate them all but he seems to believe his pastor since there are scriptures they back them up with.

Recently when i wanted to try make him see reasons why He should pay tithe,i asked if he believes that the blessings in deut28 is for us if we obey all what God said and the reply he gave me was that they aren't for believer's that they are for the isrealites and there is a reason why God gave moses the law and blah blah blah.

I asked the Holy Spirit one day if all they teach is the real truth since i always want to holdon to the truth of the Word that i may be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work but the reply i got was a big NO with a troubled feeling right down on the inside of me.

It bothers me much and that's why I decided to bring it on here

, it's Just my Dad and Mum that cater for the family, tho sometimes my mum sisters extend a little hand of help in terms of money and some gifts like when any of me or my siblings go and spend some period during the holiday with them
Coincidentally i just came back home on Saturday coz i was in Lagos when i had dz dream,i saw 3 small chicken in the cage at the backyard of our house,seems my mum is raising them for Christmas,the moment i saw those chickens,my mind flashed back to dz dream i had while i was away from home,the only difference btw the one i saw in my dream and the one i saw at home is that the one in my dream was big & matured bt the one i saw at home are not yet matured

I believe this platform is for our learning and as Christians we ought to be open to reasoning as long as its in accordance to the dictates of scriptures. I really love the current discussion on Ordinances like the anointinf oil, communion etc. I think its a good opportunity for us to teach each other. So lets reason together;
Its important to understand the following while studying scriptures
1) It is the Spirit that profits, not the flesh. Every word of God is a mystery. The word of God are Spirit and life. It requires the quicken of the spirit to unravel the treasures in it. THERE IS NO CARELESS UTTERANCE, DOCTRINE , ORDINANCE IN SCRIPTURES. GOD IS NOT AN ACTOR. HE DOESN'T JUST DO SYMBOLISM WITHOUT A DEEPER DIMENSION ,HE'S A SERIOUS PERSON AND EVERY SCRIPTURAL ORDINANCE IS ACTUALLY A MYSTERY IN ACTION.
2) God never contradicts himself, therefore to get the appropriate meaning of every scripture it must as a rule be explained in the light of other scriptures. That's why Paul explained in 1 COR 2:13 that by the helps of the Holy Spirit we are to compare spiritual things with spiritual.
3) Every word of God, every instruction, every doctrine or odrinance and every promise of God is for our profiting in all aspect of life( 1 Tim 4:15, Heb 4:2) , however how much it profits us Is dependent on our depth of insight that's why all though the word fell on good soil ( the right heart), some had 30 fold benefit, some had 60 fold and some an hundred fold according to their depth of spiritual understanding in the parabale of the sower(matthew 13:8,23) Hence to get maximum returns and make maximum use of the redemptive opportunities opened to us in Christ Jesus we need to seek out the revelation behind every ART and ACT of scripture. GOD IS NOT AN ACTOR OR STAGE PERFORMER THAT TELLS US TO DO SOMETHINGS FOR ONLY SYMBOLISM SAKE. TO EXPLAIN SOME OF THE ORDINANCES IN SCRIPTURES SUCH AS THE ANOINTING OIL, THE HOLY COMMUNION AND WATER BAPTISM AS ONLY MERE SYMBOLISM IS TO LOSE THE HIDDEN BENEFITS HE WAS TRYING TO IMPART TO US THROUGH THOSE MYSTERIES. GOD IS NOT AN ENTERTAINER OR AN HISTORIAN, The same communion someone eats as a symbolic act is what heals another person who has a better understanding.
4) The foundation of our Christianity is on the Apostles and the prophets with Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20, 1 Cor 3:11) . wisdom therefore demands that anything that Christ and the apostles teached, accepted and practice becomes an integral part of true Christianity. To discard some of those things no matter how trival it may look as only mere symbolism and hence not necessary to do is missing out of the spiritual mystery behind it.

IN LIGHT OF THIS, in subsequent posts I will be talking about some spiritual insights about the Holy Communion and The Anointing Oil with a little discussion on water baptism. I will leave out the issue of tithe for now because its the most controversial.

Brother please don't get me wrong here, none of them negate salvation neither will it take anyone to heaven. Am just saying there should be a balance between the new and old testament teaching not with human wisdom but through the Spirit of God.

I even once read from one of the pastors post that mixing old testament with the new when teaching is like a dj mixing a tape.he believes that believers only should be particular about the epistles. I believe there should just be a balance and the reply i said I got from the Holy Spirit was based on if those 4 should be discarded and He said no.

Tithe, anointing oil,communion and water baptism has there own significance in the life of a believer
