If you're applying to UiS alone, don't waste your money on IELTS, it adds nothing to your application I can assure you, provided you have at least a C in O'level. What counts here is a good GPA, good grades in your prerequisite courses and a good application.
All info you need is here, go through the thread. Same applies to those who have been sending me PMs.

Good evening, i commend everyone on this platform for the rich informations posted on how to study in norway. Am aspiring also to do my masters in norway after my service but i have some questions which I would like the house to put me through. I graduated with a 2. 8 cgpa in accounting and am thinking of doing my m sc in brand and marketing in the university of stavenger. Am also writing ACCA to help bolster my b. Sc. I want to know if this can be permitted? Also, are there enough job opportunities for students?

I graduated with a 3rd class in urban and regional planning and furthered in geography and environmental mgt (pgd) with a 2.8 cgpa. I am pmp trained and a certified Nebosh safety professional. I worked with a real estate firm for 4 years as a planning officer involved in the design and development of estates. I currently work with a construction firm as a safety officer. My question is this do i stand a chance whatsoever in gaining admission into universities in Norway? My interest lies in 3 schools, Telemark msc environment science, University of Oslo msc human geography and Nmbu msc environmental studies. I know that admission is highly competitive but what are the odds that someone with my unfortunate result gets reasonable consideration? I didn't want to say all this here because I didn't want it to seem like i'm over reaching that's why I asked for a private audience. Thank your anticipated help and advice.

For all those wondering whether applicants with low CGPA's could be admitted, I think it would only take a miracle for a below 2-1 degree to get into any Masters program in Norway. Your surest bet is a 2-1.
I was the only Nigerian that made it to UiT in Autumn 2016 as an international student, and I look forward to having more of my people here next year.
By the way, I still believe that all your questions have been answered on this thread. Go through it diligently and get informed.
Good luck pals!

Most University if not all require applicants to have atleast a 'C' to stand a chance for admission. C over 5 is equal to 3.0/5.0.. Even with C sef, one's chances is still slim. Admission is highly competitive.
It also depends on the courses you took in ur undergraduate and how relevant they are to ur propose MSc program. For instance, someone with a GPA of 4.0 who lacks some relevant courses in under graduate level with stand a lesser chance to someone with a CGPA of 3.5 who has a good number of the relevant courses. This is key.. Make sure ur undergraduate is really related to ur MSc u applied for. Another key consideration is a compelling SOP and some relevant work experience.

I myself, my GPA isn't good sef, as I made exactly C but I have already sent in my application UIT and NTNU cos there are no harm in trying out. my undergraduate course is very related to all my MSc application and I have all the relevant courses. I hope for miracle grin grin

I wish I can join you in Tromsø, Kulex.

I recently applied to NTNU for MSc. but the school where I had by Bachelor's has been on strike for a while now (LAUTECH). So, I've not been able to get my certificate and transcript which I've applied for by the way. However, I do have my statement of result and a collection of all my semester results. Can I use these in place of the certificate and transcript respectively?

You have now until 15 December to get your transcript across to NTNcript must be an officially certified transcript from your school. "all semester results" won't be accepted. Since you have applied for ur certificate, u can as well wait for u to be in possession of it. All documents must have reach NTNU or uploaded to the application portal latest 2weeks after deadline.

The amount should be equivalent of NOK103950 in naira.

As at today's exchange rate, it is 3,920,000 naira

Ps: Norway is technically offering everyone scholarship. I mean every human being in a public Norwegian University on earth is already on Scholarship. Cos they don't charge fees to you.

I wonder what other scholarship you are looking for.
