do u have admission already to the CC that what is key. u should have by now ..if yes ....also time frame hard to predict but factor a slower response time due to d holiday and if u have crossed POE now then u should start it asap

Yes you can transfer after getting the visa to another school (provided you have admission offcourse) . Best to start it after you cross POE

The process usually is that you notify the current school's international office of your intention to transfer. The current school adviser will then have to transfer your sevis record to the New School with a transfer out date given. Until that transfer is done then new school cannot issue you a new I-20 (F-1 status).

You would be expected to fill out a new i-20 request form in the new school and once transfer is done and you get the new i20 then off you go ....meaning its transfer completed

The key to transfer is that your current school should release your sevis to the new school…If they don’t for whatever reason then hummmm you have a problem . If they do then, it is not complicated process.... ... for more info see link

We need to be corrected and better ourselves. But the 'if I were the Vo' part was not necessary. From a layman perspective, he made sense and also related it to some problems.

if you all noticed, there was a "lol" at the beginning of the comment - meaning it was an intended joke. Obviously i'm neither a VO nor do i have the power to rescind his visa. Please spare us all the pretentious preaching. Surely there are better things to do than hang your hat on a two sentence post.

well.. we noticed but you shouldnt have said 'if I were the Vo'. people take things differently,you could have said that to your friend in real life and you people will laugh about it. but on here,nobody can see anyones facial expression, things can be misinterpreted easily. there are some things I will say and my friends will know its a joke without seeing my facial expression while reverse is the case when it comes to strangers.Just move on. cheers

Wow,cant believe the semester is almost over. To all those that have been misinformed like me before leaving Nigeria that 'Education is easy here' , please change your mindset before coming and be prepared for the battle. I can remember, they said if you make a 2.1 in Nigeria you will make a 1st class grade in Abroad, Lool..I mean the way I have been stretched interms of homeworks, studying just to make just 90A in 3 courses here compared to making 70A in about 8courses in Nigeria eh..its equivalent if not more.. , Never compare yourself with someone that has green card, A 3.0 gp is enough for them, but you... you know the rest of the story. You cant even have a sleeping time in this place except you came here to play. The past week has been damn busy but we thank God. May all our dreams come true.
